Check in was very poor. Event going on in town and all public parking full. Asked to use hotel car park but was told my 4.9m long Jaguar was too long (later saw much larger Audi in car park!! Was told to go to public car park (which was full). Solved problem by leaving and returning two hours later. SO CHECK IN TOOK ME TWO HOURS!! I took a good look at car park and no way was I too long!!

Stayed just one night before morning ferry. Very clean and comfortable. Close to main parking. Arrive after 7 and leave before 9 and the parking is free. Only one negative, poor breakfast compared even to ibis, not good value at all

The hotel is in a great spot within the walls of St Malo, with dining and bar options nearby. Unfortunately it is also very close to the nightclub, and the noise from that was very audible from midnight until the early hours of the morning, which made for a bad sleep.

A wonderful stay in an excellent location within Intra Muros. Staff were very friendly and the room was nice, bed very comfy. Breakfast was also great in the morning and available early. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, thanks!

Lovely central hotel with some parking for small cars. Lovely staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. The only thing that could be improved would be having some air conditioning as it is too noisy to have the window open at night.

Nicely renovated with nautical theme. However, biggest shortcoming is the irish bar, open all night it seems, not 50 feet from hotel. With no a/c, you can't open window and get sleep with all the noise.

Lovely hotel in the old centre of town, with plenty of public parking nearby (2 mins walk). Very nice staff helpful in moving our reservation. Only downside is no air conditioning, but the temperature was fine with the sea breeze while there. Would stay again.

Hotel Des Marins was excellent but the street below was party central both nights we stayed. It was Bastille Day weekend so it might be an anomaly. Very nice rooms, excellent location, helpful staff, and a great breakfast.

Very clean, modern hotel inside the fortified city of St. Malo. Bathrooms were particularly nice, especially for France. Breakfast not with the 13 euros; lots of dining options nearby; tanka walk and enjoy. Pack lightly as St. Malo is better on foot. It’s difficult to get luggage in and out of the hotel, but there is a loading zone - then you typically need to park outside the walls.

Despite expectations of parking on site we were told our car, a VW Passat was too long. We were given no indication of where we could park, discount schemes etc. We paid over 50 euros for parking for our 4 day stay. Disappointing!

My family of four shared an apartment. Very basic but clean and reasonably priced. Great shower! No maid service so be prepared to do your own house keeping. You are warned about this so it isn't a criticism. Friendly and helpful reception staff who speak English. Excellent!
