Hotel under renovation. Once done, it should be very nice. Staff was great. Room nice. Breakfast good. No issues at all other than construction everywhere. 3 months from now it will be great. I'll be back next year!

Hotel was undergoing a major renovation. Smelled strongly of paint on the first floor. Large boxes of construction materials staged in the lobby. The rooms were dated. The location was good.

This was not a positive experience. First, Room 207 had a television that did not work. We were not able to turn the television on with the remote or manually. The explanation given that the hotel is undergoing renovation. We were then moved to Room 203. Second, the business center was not available. There were multiple boxes in the lobby area that prevented us from using the business center. The explanation given was that the hotel is undergoing renovation and the multiple boxes were obstructing the business center. It would seem that the boxes could have been stored in another area that would not have obstructed the business center. Third, the orange juice served at breakfast tasted like stale water. We really do not think we received the service that we paid for and a discount should be considered. Delores

Ok hotels for one night pass through worthy of what you pay. Packages of construction materials in the hotel so when they are done may be it wud be fine.

Overall a must stay! The room felt that it could be a bit cleaner but was definitely not dirty.

Under renovation, but still accessible

This place is a dump. Room was filthy, dirt on walls, bugs in corners, furniture chipped, mirror moldy, fake leather desk chair peeling, padded chair stained, carpets filthy. Breafast area the same, just a dirty, sticky mess. Smells of mold or chlorine, couldnt tell what the odor was. Will not return, thankful this was only one night.

I will start with the staff. Mia and Toya were great and very helpful throughout my stay. We had to stay because of the tornadoes last month. The hotel was going through renovations, so the fitness room was not open for those like fitness myself like myself. Breakfast was average for most hotels and helped save on eating out. I will suggest that a microwave is put in so that food could Be heated. There are warmers however the food once taken out of the warmers gets cold pretty quick. The hotel overall is clean In the pool was open, so that was a plus. They do offer cookies throughout the day, which was also an added bonus. Over all recommend this hotel. The price is good and again the staff was great.

Enjoyed our stay. Mia was wonderful and very helpful. Construction still going on, but was not an issue for us. Breakfast was great. Ice Machine was down our entire stay which was an issue as fridge was not very cold and I had medical needs to keep cold.

I don't like the dirty carpet in hallways.

The hotel is currently under renovations. I’m assuming , based off the inside architecture, this was an older hotel that is being remodeled . With that being said , the inside needs thorough cleaning , and the ceiling needs to be updated . The only thing that was nice was the uptodate shower appliance , but the shower wasn’t clean. With all Things being considered, the price needs to be cheaper for the quality .

Parking lot is small

I'm upset because I was intending to go to the pool and it turns out it's closed and the hotel is being remodeled so there was dirt and in the pillows there was a bug

Friendly staff, old property in process and definitely in need of upgrading.

Location, A/C, and beds were good. Hallway and bathroom doors did close properly. Insufficient electronic outlets. Ironing board rusty. Ceiling crack like from water damage. No freezing compartment in refrigerator and sheet of ice at back of fridge compartment. No trash can in bathroom.

It was a great stay and a convenient location as was in Shelby to visit with friends.

It was a decent stay, I had no issues.

The King room was great and the Check-in service was excellent. The free breakfast was good; could use some fresh fruit: bananas, apples or oranges and yogurt.

We just spent a night here. They are remodeling at the moment so they do have signs saying that. I reserved a room with a king bed, but was given a room with 2 queen beds. It was late when we arrived so I did not say anything, we were tired. The elevator going up was making a very loud noise, so that was a little unsettling. The beds were very uncomfortable. They are extra extra firm. Room was pretty clean for the most part. There was a door we used to go out to the car behind where the pool was. It has a card reader to get back in, when we were coming back in we noticed it had no latch so it was unlocked and anyone could get in. That was a little scary knowing anyone could come in.

The hotel appeared to be under renovations, but many things were broken & the elevator was scary. The bed was very hard & had a warping aluminum sound when you sat on the foot. Breakfast was underwhelming. This was the worst Country Inn that I've stayed in & the others were very good. Could be a Shelby thing, as the other hotels in Shelby haven't been great either.
