The staff and service are wonderful. They were friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and the property is genuinely beach front. The beach front bar and patio were great and I enjoyed the drinks. I rated a three based solely on comfort. The room has a a/c unit on the wall which makes too much noise for me. The keys to the room are physical keys with a plastic key tag like in the old days (cute and retro but inconvenient). The doors to the room require you to pull and twist and wiggle to get in . Parking is very minimal and half of it is open to the public as the hotel is on a beach access point. The front desk closes completely after a certain hour. My tv would not turn off nor could I mute it . It was situated in a way that I couldn’t reach it to attempt to manually turn off so it was on all night.

This is our second time staying here! We had a great time! Located right by the beach! They have a cool bar overlooking the beach! Perfect location to watch the sunrise! We'll be back soon!

Very comfortable stay, clean room, and the staff was great. Pet friendly. View of the beach and gulf from the room. Reserved hotel parking and easy access to the beach. Bar staff was great and the food was excellent. Will definitely stay at the Wanna Wanna on our next trip to SPI.

I love this lovely Inn and just thinking of the name Wanna Wanna makes me relax instsnly. The only thing I wish they would do is get new mattresses..and maybe instsll phones in rooms. But regardless..we still ALWAYS, ALWAYS choose the Wanna Wanna over any other hotel on the SPI area..including Port Isabel.

Great right on the beach. Older hotel but clean and friendly staff. Accommodated us leaving earlier to tropical storm and refunded us the last three days of our stay. Clean but beds are quite hard and not very comfortable. Overall very great place to stay

The Wanna Wanna has been my beach getaway for all 10 years I"ve been in Texas. The only hotel with walk front access
The rooms are very clean, with the exception of a couple crickets sprinkling good fortunes. Music, drinks, food, people all enhance a perfect, simple, beach vacation.

Ease of check in and check out, we didn’t get to hang at the bar because of the time we checked in but short drive to Bay Area and then when we got back very quite and right on the beach can hear the waves and in the morning watch the sunrise from your room! Needs a pool but otherwise perfect place

Great little hotel. Love the live music at night and it was great that I could go in my room and not hear the music. Love the spacious area and all the amenities in the rooms. Bathroom fixtures could use a little help but all in all a great room. Love the closeness to the beach and also that there was a bar/ restaurant there right at the hotel. The patio area was nice and the parking was a little hectic but not too horrible.

This was our first time staying there and well will be back. Room 111 was good, the bed was soft. The AC worked very well and overall the stay was pleasant. The 1/2 lb of peel/eat shrimp was great! They had a band on Wednesday while we were there, they played some great oldies and some new ones I have never heard! The band was called "The Situation." The check in was quick and the location to the beach was perfect.

The outdoors environment was awesome ~ the bed was not comfortable and the mosquitoes were very bad could not enjoy time there.

It was nice, affordable, great food and right on the beach!

An older property with only 15 rooms, we loved the convenience of walking right out to the beach, eating burgers at the grill area, and the bar. The room looked worn (cattywompus curtain rod, curtains didn’t cover windows, paint peeling here and there, but the AC was cold, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, the room was cleaned well every day. And the view from every window was spectacular!
