My wife and I and new baby really enjoyed our stay. It was clean, the staff were friendly and the food was very good. The bed was a firm mattress, which suited us!

Nice hotel with good location. Many restaurants in the vicinity. Close to the beach. Good service with a smile. The WiFi signal in the room was weak, but OK on the terrasse.

Good selection of food at breakfast, bar service available till midnight. Airconditioning works well in rooms which are a little on the small side. Swimming pool very nice for splashing around in but not for serious swimmers. Hotel appeared slightly understaffed at peak meal times but the staff are incredibly good-natured and hard working. Be nice to them. Nearest lake swimming is 5 min walk away. Nice beach cafe but - dead fish and dog poo on pebbly beaches. Ducks and swans can be a nuisance. Water is weed-ridden. We decided not to swim in the lake. There is a better looking public beach at the tip of Sirmione beyond Catullo's Grotto (well worth a look, as well as the Roman villa in Desenzano). Recommend evening aperitif at BarRio_58 and then eating at Rossi e Rossi.

Situated approx 30 mins walk to Desenzano and 2hrs walk to Simione castle.Friendly multilingual staffVery clean and tidy.Room was quiet and the bed was very comfy.We didnt use the facilities i.e. pool, spa tub etc as we left the hotel in the morning and came back late at night. But they did look quite good.We did use the free hotel bikes for a couple of days ( we were being charged for using them for more than 3 hrs on the final bill. But when disputed that this was not mentioned or shown anywhere this was quickly deleted) The paths are wide and used for cyclists as well as pedestrians. So make use of them and go exploring 👍Need to knowDo not expect the hotel to be situated on the lake as per description. You have to cross a main road outside of the hotel and walk down a narrow road to the lake. Approx 500 metres. There were no views of the lake from the balcony. The trees have obviously grown since the pictures were taken. You could see some of the lake from the rooftop thoughWiFi was good around the reception area and public areas, but in the room I got a very vague signal near the door but no where else in the room.Pet are allowed ( unlike Expedia description) and several dogs were taken in the breakfast room during our stay but were no trouble. Electric sockets in the room were all mainly the modern 3 pin plug, bar one 2 pin socket that was in the bathroom. So if you intend to charge a lot of gadgets, take 3 pin adapters.

An ideal hotel - good location near lake. Close to handy bus links. Our only gripe was that the sheets were not changed during a 6 night stay - otherwise a great base to stay.

Lovely hotel, professional and friendly staff. Great breakfast and restaurant for dinner.A lot of local generic info but would have been enhanced by providing each room with a ‘what’s on file’ e.g which towns had s market and on which day.

Lovely small hotel and staff. Stayed outside the normal summer season, so for example hotel restaurant was closed for the evenings. Good location close to the beautiful lake! Some confusion in the hotel room bookings between hotels.com service and hotel. Luckily it was partly fixed.

We stayed for 10 days at this hotel and it was a fantastic base for our first trip to Lake Garda. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were good with lots of choice. The fresh fruit salad was delicious. We also ate at the hotel twice in the evening and the food was very good. The room was comfortable and clean - my only slight criticism is that the mattress was firmer than I like (but of course that is personal preference - my husband thought it was perfect!).The location was brilliant - a 2 minute stroll to the lake and boardwalk. Its roughly a 30 minute walk into Desenzano town from where you can catch the ferry to other locations on the lake or the train to Milan (50 mins) or Venice (1 hour 40). Just round the corner from the hotel is a lovely area called Rivoltella which has some good restaurants and a great ice cream parlour.A big plus for the hotel is that they have bikes which you can borrow. These are well maintained - we particularly enjoyed cycling to Sirmione and sailing past the long line of cars queuing up to get there!

Location was great. The hotels looks better than in pictures. Staff at the reception and restaurant very helpful and easy to talk to. The food was very good - breakfast and dinner. However, the restaurant did not offer a wide range of choices for dinner. We were disappointed by the cleaning of the rooms, as the towels weren't changed as they were supposed to. Smell in the bathroom and lack of hand soap (no refill).

Our 2nd time here and efforts have been made to spruce it up which is nice. Unfortunately our experience of the hot tub this time wasnt good - water level low & not warm ! On asking a girl at reception she said she didnt know how to remedy it and someone would be back to help - they didnt arrive. Another day a helpful lady topped it up with a hose pipe but needless to say the level dropped and it wasnt warm! Anyway, very helpful staff in general especially when I car broke down! And breakfast is plentiful

Had a family room for 2 nights. Only had breakfast, which was very good. Enjoyed using the complimentary bicycles. Very comfortable hotel, no hidden surprises. Hot tub most welcome!

Great location, very friendly staff (reception, cleaning team and dining room), clean and well maintained.Only issue was that there is no fridge in the room, just a keep cool box

Five days of sunshine and boat trips enjoyed by my sister and I. We walked into Desenzano which took about 30 to 40mins depending on the heat and preferred the lake side path. Rivoltella just a short walk in the other direction and has cafes and a few shops. Had a day and a bit of just relaxing and using the pool and hot tub. Great views from roof top terrace. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great holiday.

stayed with friend, had a great week, very close to lake garda the hotel was a beautiful clean place to stay. Scenery was beautiful from where ever we went on our holiday, we did hire a car which was great for seeing lots of beautiful Italy.

My wife and I came here to cellebrate her 30's. The location was perfect for our star traveling which included the Garda lake and the serrounding, venice, verona and innsbruck in Austria (2.45 Hr by car). The hotel and flights were invited long time before tיrough Expedia - very easy and convenient. The car was taken separately cause we wanted somthing special that they could not offer us.

Not quite as the photos but very nice. You can't see lake garda from the roof unless you stand on tip toes as the plants all overgrown. Sun terraces smaller than they appear on photo and pool freezing cold. However, staff friendly and very helpful and lake easily got to by lane immediately opposite hotel. Our bed was very hard but others may prefer it that way. Good position if you are driving but if on foot you need a bus or taxi to get to main areas of interest.

Excellent hotel. A 20 minute walk to the main bit of Desenzano. Clean, excellent staff who were very helpful. The hotel is in rivotella which has some good restaurants and is close to the beach. Highly recommended

This hotel is a little gem booked short break for my wifes 50th birthday .The hotel was clean and our room was lovely on the second floor facing lake garda. i had pre booked the evening meals for £12 for 3 courses which i throught was a bargin had a great time.

My wife and I thought that this was a great little hotel and we will plan to go back on our next trip to lake garda. Staff were great and extremely helpful. We ate in the hotel and were very impressed by some good quality meals. You may do better by going out but if you and your kids are tired after a day of swimming and sightseeing it is great to be able to eat at the hotel. Our kids loved the pool.

The not-so-good points first - the evening meals are pricy and have limited selection. we didn't bother trying it -you have to pay for a sauna. there is no info advising of this and we were stung on check out. However, it is a lovely hotel with good rates and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and give objective advice about the area. There are some really nice little cafeterias, restaurants and pizzerias within short walks that do good food and were very chilled and welcoming. The best bit for us was the free bike hire. You're only allowed 3 hours in the peak season but wasn't an issue for us. They are a great to see the main places in that area, especially Sirmione which is a stunning little place. Try the Amaretto ice creams!
