Such an amazing place. The people were great, service was top notch and even though pricey, was worth every dime. Very classy. A great choice.

The room we had many, many ants and smelled bad- like garbage at certain times of the day. I suspect it was close to a garbage or dumpster for the restaurant.
The room had very little to no soundproofing, you could hear people stomping down the hallway and talking at all hours.
Overall, the hotel felt stuck up and restrictive (ex: you could not eat anything by the pool, you had to walk over to a different area of the hotel and then go back to the pool). The breakfast was sad and food of poor quality, and in a cold banquet hall room rather than one of the nice outdoor spaces.
It attracted rude customers, ie: those that were entitled and happy to blow cigar smoke in your face for hours.
Did not feel comfortable or welcoming and would not go back.

Grand hotel royal was as amazing as it seems. The hotel and service is everything and more than you would expect. They went the extra mile to make my wife and I feel welcome on our honeymoon and even giving an extra gift on top of that for her birthday. Our stay here was the best that we had on our entire Italian trip! Hope to return one day!

This is a very special hotel with fabulous staff, Great swimming in Italian Mediterranean, super food and breakfast. We were there for my wife’s birthday over four days. They really made it fabulous We look forward to returning next year.

Beautiful hotel on a lovely piece of property in Sorrento. Hotel itself is quiet and very relaxing yet only a 5 min walk to the busy town square.
The room with a sea view balcony was amazing and the swimming deck at sea level was fun!
The service was excellent and what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Our only dislike was breakfast was very average. A lot of options to choose from but not as tasty as other places visited.
Other than that this hotel is a perfect choice!

Their location is outstanding. The pool, terrace and dining facilities have perhaps the most spectacular view I have ever seen. Watching the sunset, looking at Mt. Vesuvius and Naples while listening to their piano player and enjoying an exceptional dinner is an experience I will always treasure!

It is a quiet place with the view of Mount Vesuvius. The terrace is a wonderful place for the sunset with singers and live music. Hope the staffs behind the check-in desk could offer more tourist informations about Sorrento and current events around the city.

This property had very comfy beds & great full breakfast! Beautiful view of Mt Vesuvius right on the Amalfi Coast! Will stay there again Sorrento is a beautiful place with lots to offer. Boats to all other towns on the Amalfi coast. Capri, Positano, Amalfi&Atrani, very accessible from Sorrento. You will need a good 7-9 days there to see things. The best seafood we have ever had and reasonable too. This property is walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops.

The location, the view, the concierge service is unbeatable. Worth every penny specially during hot summer days. We loved staying in Sorrento and making day trips every where. Highly recommend staying in this city vs the amalfi coast

The Hotel is lovely. The views are amazing and our room’s balcony overlooked the sea with Napoli in the distance. Capri was in the sunset. I pick a hotel for the bar and Salvatore the barman was a delight. We were there in November and it was quiet and peaceful. We highly recommend.
