The staff that we encountered were always polite and friendly. Our Butler, Henry was amazing. His care for us was above and beyond anything we’ve ever experienced.
The food service was great, and food was good.
Our housekeeper Lohanny Raquel Reyes made sure that our room was spotless, and the supplies were well stocked. She made sure that our refrigerator was full.

The staff is amazing, they are very polite and friendly. One example is during the buffet, they tried their best to accommodate for our toddler. It’s a small resort, quiet, peaceful and with walking distances to the different amenities. BUT it needs update. The rooms are old, the restaurant by the beach is not as clean and food could be a bit better. We were there for 4 nights and it was a really good time for us to disconnect. The beach is nice and clean and the staff is always available which is great. Overall a 3.8/5.

We stayed at Majestic Colonial for our 30th Anniversary. I have never been to a place where there were so many happy people. Every member of the staff that we came across went out of their way to speak to us and did their best to take care of us. It is such a beautiful, relaxing place. Our butler Edith went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She checked in with us multiple times a day to make sure we didn’t need anything and decorated our room for us for our anniversary. She was so kind and caring. We cannot say enough good about Majestic Colonial and have told everyone about our trip. It is also a very affordable if you are looking for a place to take a special trip.

All that young people working there are amazing. They working so hard all day and on the end of the day everyone is so happy. Shanon and her team are the best. Hotel is good and activities they have are great too. Food is excellent. I can’t complain about anything. I recommend this hotel

My husband and I spent our 30th wedding anniversary at the Majestic Colonial Club. We were totally impressed with this resort from the entertainment, food, activities and just being able to enjoy the relaxation of being at the ocean and the amazing swimming pools that this resort has to offer. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The rooms in the colonial club were absolutely perfect and the ground floor rooms have direct access from your room into the swimming pool, pool bar and jacuzzi. Would highly recommend this resort.

On the negative side, there were issues with getting the bedroom cleaned. Because we traveled with a baby who napped around noon, the staff didn't do the cleaning one day or didn't respect the resting signal another.
The hotel must clean the water channel towards the tennis court to be more eco-friendly (mangrove swamp).

My husband gave me this trip for my birthday. We stood at the Majestic Colonial Hotel I had a wonderful time. Everyone was very nice and cordial. They made sure we were comfortable and provided us with anything needed. The food was excellent very tasty. The entertainment was nice. I would diffidently go again with some friends, highly recommend. love you guys Iluminada

Great amenities overall and the service from the dining staff was good. However, the lobby experience was poor. At check-in, the person who did the registration could work as a security guard and not in hotel service, very unfriendly and unwelcoming. Moreover, at checkout, there was a bill of $165 charged to my room even though it is an all-inclusive hotel, apparently for additional beverages but I didn't order anything else during my stay. It turned out to be a "system error" after reviewing the consumption—mediocre service at the counter.

We enjoyed everything about this resort. The club area was so nice and th beach was amazing. Every person was very happy, sweet and accommodating all our needs.
The food was wonderful, especially enjoyed the French restaurant and the Mexican restaurant. Javier was out butler and was extremely helpful in anything we needed and told us about everything happening. As well texted or found us each day to make sure we were Happy.

It is advertised as a 5 star resort, but it is not at the level of other places we have gone. Most staff were very friendly and tried to help. They fid, however try really hard to get me to enter a review with them standing there. It was uncomfortable.
Rooms are OK, but a bit worn. Room service did bare minimum unless we contacted with specific requests.
The bars were good and beverages were consistently made.
Restaurant hours were more limited than advertised and options were limited. We tried the main buffet one night and wouldn't return. The food was really bad. Most of the time we recieved was not as described on the menu. If you're making a change it effects whether I'll eat it. I ended up getting the same thing over and over so i knew i could eat it. The food itself reallt needs to improve. The wait staff try really hard and were really engaging, but they can't make up for mediocre food.

This was the worst all inclusive I have ever experienced. We had our luguage gone through at bell desk and valuable watches stolen. Told by manager "we cant prove we owned our items". Was the worst food ive ever had at a resort. Limited options. Lots of venues closed entire visit.
