Convenience and very affordable

Overall My family and I enjoyed our stay and definitely will choose to stay again.

The bathroom area by pool was disgusting. The staff at the front desk was very nice. Our room was very clean, however I suggest putting a broom in the room for people staying more than a couple days.

We stay here every year and it's a wonderful hotel. The location right on the beach can't be beat and as parents of young kids we really appreciate that all the rooms are suites. It's clean, everyone is friendly and helpful, and parking is convenient.

I when to the hotel with a family group all the areas were looking good, clean and comfortable I highly recommend this hotel .

hey everyone! this is my second time going to this hotel so pls listen on this as i explain everything very thoroughly if ur looking to go to this hotel. let me tell you every single little thing about this hotel. the receptionists are very kind, and they do their best to give u good service. the elevators work good, and the pool is very clean here. they have free coffee and water that you can get. last year when i went, the hot tub worked for all 4 days i was there. however, this year when i went the hot tub only worked for the first day i was there. it was shut down for "maintenance". pretty sure it'll open up in a few days though. now moving on to the hotel rooms, the hotel room it's self has a type of smell.. i didn't really enjoy it but i js kinda dealt with it. i don't know what smell it is, but i think it's just the smell of the hotel. last year when i went everything was fine about my hotel room but this time my microwave didn't work. we called receptionist and they gave us a new microwave the next day. the shower works well, good pressured water. the sink also works well and the couch turns into a bed. it is comfy, just like the other bed in the hotel room. there was like a small stain on the couch bed but it wasn't bad and there was also a stain on the chair next to the couch bed but it wasn't bad either. the linen and everything is clean. also, PLEASE bring some indoor shoes i swear the floor will make ur socks super dirty because of the carpet and everything.

The cleaning staff needs to do better and not once did someone come in and clean our room or replaced out towels.

The view was amazing! Being directly across from the beach, i was sire there was going to be sand ik the room, but this staff did an amazing job. The room was so clean. There was a slight room assignment issue due to the computer, but the front staff was quick to resolve everything. It was 4th of july weekend,so traffic was insane so javing a parking lot across the street was so much easier than having to fight over a parking spot around.

The staff was kind and the location is decent. Those are the only positives I can highlight considering the rate for this hotel. I'll put it this way - we had to change rooms after killing a couple of creepy crawlies in our first room. The whole floor stunk on the floor. The move us by one floor to a room that was set up the same but was maintained far better. I was rather upset to gave paid the same rate for the other room the night before. Expedia stepped in to help (thank you) but I will not be staying there again.

Although parking across the street was inconvenient with small children, we had everything we needed within walking distance. Nice to have a separate bedroom for little ones to go to sleep early.

It was our first time ever, staying in a hotel. It was pretty good. The room was clean, roomy, and comfy for the five of us (2 Adults, 3 kids). We had a king size bed n a Queen fold out sofa bed for the kids to share, and a very nice view of Virginia Beach from our Balcony.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barclay Towers. HUGE suite with comfortable king bed, great shower, small balcony right on the ocean and a small kitchen and living space. AC and internet worked great. I was impressed with the staff immediately on check in. Very knowledgable and friendly. Nice coffee machine in the lobby, recycle receptacles all around. Easy access to the beach and boardwalk. Parking across the street in a garage. Bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Ample drawer and closet space. Nice little stove and cooktop and small fridge (no freezer - but plenty of ice available which turned my cooler into a freezer). Minimal dishware, but enough for the 2 of us to cook breakfast and lunch! This is not a luxury accommodation but really has everything you need for a great beach stay! We will be back.

My family and I have stayed here before. We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We had to sweep crumbs and sand up. The tables and countertops were sticky. There wasn't any sheets or a blanket for the fold out bed. It took hours after reporting it before anyone came. Also our key card stopped working after being checked in twice. We have never had any issues before. .

I would recommend

The room was very spacious I was able to fit my entire family of 6 in the room comfortably. It is obvious that it’s an older hotel and they are working on upgrading but it was still decent for a temporary stay and the view on the balcony was beautiful. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

I enjoyed my experience.

Just wow!!! Right on the beach and boardwalk. You can watch great volleyball in the evening. Furniture may be a bit dated, but this is a great place for families and groups! Small stove, fridge, microwave, and toaster with enough dishes to prepare a meal. Nice little balcony overlooking beach with beautiful sunrises!

Pro: The room rate is very affordable, and the hotel is family-friendly. Cons: The hotel is understaffed; however, those who work are diligent, trying beyond expectations to keep every customer happy.
