Great hotel with excellent service. Walkable distance to everything. Be prepared for the rooms to be very hot during summer. No air conditioning or fans in the rooms.

Location was fantastic. Breakfast also goo. It lost points once we opened our room door. Floors creaking like crazy, and 1st floor was like an oven. Our room just got hotter and hotter. Kept window open however it’s all pubs below and the noise went on until 3am. Bathroom was tiny. The shower was so small we couldn’t turn around or even bend over to wash (we’re not fat). Parking is also a challenge

Very pleasant hotel. Room was spacious and staff very helpful. Location was fantastic, one block from the river and the city center and across the street from the Kunsthaus museum. We really enjoyed our stay.

Having been travelling many times in Austria and Germany, I was used to cold face and unfriendly service; hence, hotel Mariahilf service really impressed me.
First, the service staff at the reception was always smiling and quickly helped us check in also providing us information about local transportation and recommendations of food.
Second, the housekeeping was really efficient and professional. Considering the amount of room per floor, they did it fast and clean. The room was exceptionally clean even though the building itself is old. We travelled in summer when there was a bit of heat wave and so they put a fan in the room already to air the room before we checked in.
Last, the service staff at the breakfast was very friendly and professional. They kept watching if there are empty plates and so they took them away quickly to ensure the dining quality.
The location of the hotel was pretty nice as it’s near the kunsthaus for those who come here for art exhibition I highly recommend this hotel. Fair price with exceptionally professional service.

Excellent place to spend time in Granz. Located in the centre, well equipped, very clean, with nice staff and tasty cuisine.

Superb location, kind staff, big rooms, good cleaning. Nice breakfast and breakfast room (despite a little bit too small during peak moments).
My room would have been better with a shower plastic or plexiglass barrier, an additional electricity socket and a better window curtain.
Overall, I'm happy and I would surely come back

This hotel is located close to the a street packed with outdoor restaurants. I sleeping is fundamental for your well beeing dont stay at this hotel. The staff was not very clear about parking possibilities.

Very nicely located, with huge rooms, excellent breakfasts, and very convenient on site parking you would think this is a five star place. But the service leaves much to be desired. We left a library book behind in the room when we checked out, and contacted the hotel several times by email to arrange for its return, but were completely ignored. Sure, it's our fault, but this has happened before and each time the hotel politely and generously mailed the item to us. Given the price and the ostensible high quality of the service, they should have at least responded.

Great location, clean, friendly staff.
The room was VERY basic and it did not have Air Conditioning. To be honest, I didn't even think to look to see if AC was included. The only other issue was the church bells - the church is very close and the bells go off a lot and start very early in the morning!

Good location. First room we got was 3rd floor, we didn't like that so we payed to upgraded to one on 2nd floor, much much more better.
It was after Christmas so quite busy there especially for breakfast, too small for all guests... Food was ok, not so special , as expected.
Staffs are nice and friendly.

This was the sixth hotel on our current journey and it does not stand up to the rest of the hotels we have stayed in. The bathroom was dangerous - no shower curtain and yet no drainage - if it was meant to be a wet room - so floor got extremely slippy after showering. There was only one plug socket and this was no where near a mirror - making it very difficult to dry hair. No fridge or drinks facilities in the room along with no air con. It was very basic - with a bed and a tv and no information provided to help explain or settle. I feel that the photos over inflate what the property has to offer.

It is too hot to have no air-conditioning in room under hot wave. Staff is so nice to provide us a fan.

Room was large and clean, a bit dated. Large TV (approx 52). Breakfast was good and well stocked. Parking in local garage was discounted to 14 euro per day. Lots of local cafes, bars. No a/c or fans.

Hotel and room very clean. Room very small and only had an attic window. No a/c. Room opposite a bar so we either had to close the window and be very hot or open the window and listen to the noise.

The hotel was quite well and the service Kind.
All is clean and the breakfast decent. We liked the hotel and it’s location is pretty good.
But, there is a huge construction site door to door and the noise begins at 8 am. Unfortunately we were assigned on of the rooms that have the window in that direction and we couldn’t work happily in the morning because the noise was annoying, opening the window was a no-go and we are at 30 degrees here now.

The hotel is in a great location, with comfortable rooms and an adequate breakfast. We stayed for about three nights and were happy with the facility and staff. Parking in Graz is tough to find and very expensive. As this hotel is in town, take a cab. The surrounding area is LOUD and busy. We hardly slept. The shower is tiny - we are not big people and we struggled. The linens and beds were comfortable. No mini fridge for drinks.

Overall comfortable hotel, located near the heart of Graz and 15 minutes walking form the main train station. Good breakfast. Friendly front desk. WiFi signal not very strong (perhaps because our room was the very last). Would stay there again.

The location were great. The staffs at reception and restaurant were friendly and helpful. The lobby and restaurant still have some old Austrian charm, however the room is dated and in need of a refurbishment. Like others reviewers said, the floor creaky sound were really annoying . Eventhough the room is clean but it doesn't give a cosy feel.
