The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The service was excellent. Manque was particularly helpful.

This is a great hotel. V clean, well appointed, comfortable beds, Good sized rooms for a city centre location and really friendly helpful staff

The hotel had a lot of character and was well run. The people working seemed to care you received great service and were very accommodating when we had to hang out for an evening flight. The location is good and safe. Breakfast was great. I would stay there again.

Excellent hotel but perhaps our balcony needed tidying

Came there and left after about one hour to different hotel even Vain was already paid for. Room was cold and moist (the reason I think is that room on the first floor doesn't have windows and only has small window in the door that goes to backyard with no sunlight). Tried to set thermostat to higher temperature. Didn't work. Went to the front desk and asked how we can turn heat on. The guy said just press up . Ok went to the room and tried that. Didn't work, went back to the front desk, asked again to fix it; guy (Martin) was too busy casually talking to other customers about his trip to London. Said he will reset the system from his desk (reseting his thermostat on the wall). Obviously didn't work. He never even went to check our thermostat (must be long walk of 10 feet from the front desk to our room). Disappointing. We booked different hotel and left Thanks for nothing

We had a wonderful stay at Vain hotel! The location of the hotel is excellent - close to resturants and culture in Palermo - and also close to the metro and buses. The hotel is fairly small, which gives it an intimate and cosy atmosphere. The breakfast was very good. Most of all: the service was great with friendly and welcoming staff who were always happy to help or gice tips and advice!

Hotels.com and the hotel couldn’t accommodate an emergency request I made to cancel the booking a few days in advance. Apparently hotels.com tried multiple times to contact the hotel but never got through to them. Very sad customer experience.

I am so pleased I booked the Vain Hotel in Buenos Aires. The hotel was in an excellent location, walkable to anywhere we wanted to go and when we went farther afield the hotel booked us a taxi or we just took the ‘subte’. All the staff at Vain were excellent, even if they couldn’t speak English we managed to communicate. The breakfast choices are brilliant - you won’t go hungry at this hotel. Our room was so lovely and comfortable. We booked a superior room with a balcony which was quite small but so quaint. My husband and I love to people watch and it was the perfect balcony to do that. Although the hotel is on a ‘semi main road’ we never heard a thing from the traffic at night time. When you take things from the mini bar they are very reasonable prices so don’t worry about taking out that bottle of vino as it’s just a few dollars. If you buy vino from the Bar in the hotel it’s also very reasonable and if you don’t finish it they will keep it for you. The top terrace is comfortable and quiet but could do with a bit of a revamp - perhaps some new chairs that are more comfortable to sit on. I regret not spending time in the hot tub but we were so enamored with Buenos Aires that we didn’t have time. We want to go back to BA again next year to do some more exploring and if we make it we will definitely stay at the Vain. We hail from Ireland but live in Chicago. Thanks Vain staff.

Great and clean

Great location, good friendly service

We were welcomed on arrival and given a voucher for a free drink each. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the guy on reception carried our bags up the stairs as were located on a mezzanine between the lift floors. Breakfast was excellent, fresh orange juice, bread, croissant and jams and you can choose from the menu if you want bacon, eggs etc. Free bottled water was provided daily. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging a cab for our return to the Airport. Would recommend the hotel, other reviews say it needs refreshing but that is part of its charm - it is certainly not run down and even has electronic access to the front door. Good location too, walking distance to Subte.

It was ok but the room had no windows which was weird. Yet it also very loud some how...we heard everything in the hallway. And everytime someone above us flushed their toilet our toilet flushed too. This is more of an expensive hostel than a real hotel. There are much nicer options in the neighborhood.

To say my room was small with no exterior windows may not sound appealing at first. The hotel is on a busy street, and my room had French doors with windows opening into a nice courtyard, so it was totally quiet and not the least claustrophobic! Also, the room is so well-designed, with a place for everything. There is a sweet upper deck and inside lounge for relaxing. Breakfast is generous, staff accommodating. I love this place!

What an amazing boutique hotel. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, the staff was helpful and completely accommodating. They served breakfast late into the morning, we had a complimentary glass of wine, helpful tips on where to go and what to do everyday. The owner interacted with us on a daily basis and gave us great info on the city. Staff was available 24 hrs/day, great location. We cannot wait to return!

Cute hotel not worth the $ they asking. Old building and rooms. A/C is connected to other rooms- once they shot it off it shot off in our room, hotel staff tried helping but no compensation was offered for this in comfort. Overall very disappointing

Nice small hotel located in a really central area. The room on the groundfloor is a bit too dark but the others are really nice and well furnished. The staff is is always kind, friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the location is great. We found our room to be very quiet. The size of the room was great and the overall atmosphere was nice. But our AC didn't work. We were out late - because, well it's Buenos Aires. When we came back our room was 29 degree Celsius. We tried to turn the AC on and it just wouldn't work. We would have called but I'm not sure it would have helped so late in the night. We opened our window and I took a cold shower before heading to bed. Not the best. But again, I could have said something - who knows. I feel it shouldn't have been broken in the first place. If the AC worked, I would definitely recommend.

We'd give this hotel 8 out of 5 if we could! The staff were most helpful, hotel facilities were of a high standard, and room clean and comfortable. We simply grabbed a cab at the airport (USD$10) and were given the nicest welcome when we got there. Would definitely book there again. Even though we were leaving at 4.30am we were served breakfast.

A nice large room with a small patio area. We didn't use this but if you were a smoker then it would have been good to go out there. The breakfast was great and the staff very, very helpful with good English. I would definitely recommend. Don't be put off by the area, this a very safe area and better than staying in downtown BsAs which is really, really busy.

The Vain hotel is a friendly and characterful hotel in the Palermo district of Buenos Aires. The staff are helpful and make you feel 'at home'. There is a pleasant roof terrace which is sunny and warm where you can relax after a day out in the city. Recommended.

Terrific staff, great location, nice rooms, great shower, solid hotel

Best staff and service experience. The breakfast and staff especially Kevin were great. The Terrance and living room on the 2nd floor was my favorite spot in the hotel.

The hotel's location, style and facilities are great. The staff were exceedingly friendly and professional. Some rooms do not have windows apart from the glass panels of the front doors. This seemed odd at first, but didn't prove a problem at all. The rooms were clean, stylish and very comfortable. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

I was mostly impressed by the level of be service at this hotel. It's well located, close to subway station and walking distance to shop/restaurant area in Palermo. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are considering to stay in Palermo neighborhood.

Really great little hotel. The staff were very friendly and even helpful before we arrived booking a taxi from the airport for us. Breakfasts were great. Palermo is a great location for all the top restaurants and use the nearby Subte to get downtown of walk to the parks. The only minor thing is the bed was a little stiff but this might a personal thing.
