The condition of the towels and the cleanliness is terrible. Yellowish towels. Hair in the shower, really disgusting!

The staff is very welcoming and eficiente. The only thing I wish it could have more nature or green spaces inside. Everything else is very nice

Not a 4 stars hotel, most likely a 3 stars. Is limited, prices are affourdable, pool is open til 5am in the morning, music must go down by 10 pm. Parking is limited. Hotel is not beach front but is some minutes away from it

Breakfast included was great! Food ordered and delivered poolside was excellent! Good value for money.

Sofia at the reception was the best. Pool and surroundings were very well maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.

It was clean and nice but a little out of date. Definitely liked that they were pet friendly. Only bad thing was no internet in the room we stayed in at the back of the facility. Restaurant is fantastic.

Loved the staff- very friendly and helpful. The property was a bit run down, but they were fixing as we were there and looks to be improving daily! Margaritas restaurant was excellent! Great good & wonderful friendly staff. Great family hotel - all rooms central to the pool area.

The power and water were both off for several hours on Friday. No compensation of any sort was offered. We were forced to go to a bar so we would not have to sit in our room in the dark

Hotel Amapola is a great place over Jaco Beach. Just perfect for families with small kids. The pool is great and it has amenities for the small ones and for adults. Rooms are excellent and just in front of the pool. Mexican restaurant beside the hotel is great! Ask for the Tacos for Share (pa’ compartir)

We were stuck in a room furthest from the pool & restaurant. The room needed some serious updating & maintenance. The bed was on par with a rock and the pillows weren't much better. The casino wasn't operating, nor was the Italian restaurant. We asked if we could use the bicycles parked near reception - the lady just said "No." Linens def not Egyptian cotton! Towels were something handed down from a Motel 6. The the good side - the employees were quite friendly & helpful, the pool was very clean, and the location is decent. We felt safe walking to restaurants & the beach. The maid went above & beyond to clean what appeared to be black mold off the shower ceiling. The A/C worked great. Being in the back of the property, we had a cute little mini-super right outside the gate. The free breakfast was good, made to order & very quickly. However, the 'orange juice' tasted more like Sunny D.

The employees were so nice and the service was excellent. I liked everything from this place ……… sure I will come back again.

I only like restaurant where paid service. Booked 2 Rooms. One is not rentable. Shower is not working. Limited Towels. I never saw such a slow WIFI anywhere. Every minute WIFI connection stopped.

Check-in experience was awful. No information on any kind was given. No wifi password, no amenities information shared, no Breakfast info. It was like if the guy at the front desk didn't want to be there. This was our 1st time at Amapola and most definite the last. The TV at the room was not working, so when we called for help to the front desk using our cell phone we had to dial 4 times for someone to pick up, then they sent the guy from security to check on the TV. Bathroom only had 2 towels, No floor towel or face or regular towels for hand wash. We got them after complaining. Service at the pool bar awful as well, they CHARGE the ice plus they never had change for you to pay with cash, therefore they say sorry no change. OVERALL AWFUL EXPERIENCE. The only good service we got was from Sandy at breakfast in the reataurant.

The hotel is nice and clean . The rooms are big and comfortable . It is great hotel for family with kids . A little bit far from the centre but the restaurant in the hotel is good . We only stay one night there so my review is based on one night only.

The pool area seemed to be nice for children, all though it was in the same condition as the hotel – old.The staff didn’t speak much English, but despite that, they were all really helpful and went the extra mile.Rooms were clean, but, surprise, old.
