Original booked room was very noisy with cars and train passing from early morning. When asked to change room had to pay for an upgrade. Sauna which is mentioned in amenities was open only from 17.00 which useless at any sence.

Rather impersonal hotel. Unable to get a simple coffee to take away. A little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. Expensive for what it is I would say. We were not made to feel like customers.

I loved the fact that the hotel is right next to my favorite casino. It was the whole reason I booked it and I'm so happy I did. I needed a "me" night away from the kids and this was definitely the place to do it. The staff speaks English and it was super easy to check in and out. The restaurant was AMAZING and I'm so happy I treated myself to dinner and drinks there.

Nice comfortable hotel just at a nice park. Spacey rooms with all facilities.

All was good but their beds...... You can not have a queen bed as is says on the web. And the 2 single beds for me is not "confort". You are not capable to select.

Any time I am in Saarbrücken, I make it a point to stay at this hotel. Always great service, courteous from desk self, nice and clean comfortable rooms, ample parking, and walkable surroundings make for an enjoyable stay. Although the environment is quiet, The city centre is just five minutes away by car, and the French border is just as close down the road.

Very luxurious hotel at a very reasonable price. Very much enjoyed the spacious rooms and the lovely breakfast.

Otherwise it is a great place to stay the night—a well-maintained facility, comfortable beds, and a great buffet breakfast to boot. The principal staff are fluent in English, too—a definite plus for those whose skills in German or French are on the embarrassing side. Definitely a contender to consider.

2nd time I have stayed here; this time for some reason I had a very, very nice room with 4 poster bed and balcony. Some folks might think the view was subpar; but it was a VERY nice surprize and quite frankly helped me to relax. The previous night, and the following night, I stayed in other towns with other hotels and their beds were so bad I could barely move; this was NOT an issue with the Rezidenz. The only issues were a mixup with the wifi (I had a single option, but the reception thought I had 2; this charge was removed) and the bathroom could use a plumber visit to check some not-yet-an-issue things. I mentioned this to the reception, I imagine it will be handled already.

Nice stay at what is probably the most upscale place in the city. Located on the outskirts, which makes for quiet time away from the bustle of the city center, it offers nice garden views, sauna, fitness facilities (albeit very limited), and the convenience of the motorway barely a minute away with easy access to the center in under 3 minutes by car. Walking would take you 20+ minutes. French border is about 5 minutes by car, ab out 1/2 hour or so walking. Supermarket right across the border. A casino is located right next to the hotel if you are in the gaming mood. Room was nicely furnished and large, but bathroom was on the smaller side, especially the shower. Room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback is that it was really warm, when I was there and there is no A/C. So, had window open. I would recommend getting a room with the garden view as the outside noise may be bothersome in the other rooms. At night, you also benefit from the darker space vs. the lights off the street. They have shutters, but mine were stuck, and I could not close them (open and close sideways from the outside). Breakfast was good / decent. Service was excellent at all levels. WiFi access was excellent. They offer two parking options: limited underground car park (charge) and free lot (across the street).

Very nice hotel - old fashion . The rooms are very nicely decorated and the staff very helpful. On a busy street, but you do not hear the traffic when uou are at the hotel. Breakfast buffet is top notch.

We were there a couple of days for business. Very nice hotel to return to after a long day. Breakfast was particularly superb. Service was absolutely excellent all around - any problem we ran into was taken of immediately.

I think I will say my best hotel ever in Germany I cant belived the hospitality I recieved from the very first contact at the hotel to the least of staffs very friendly hope to be there for my next trip again.

We heard that this is the best hotel in Saarbrucken, and it probably is. However, it would have difficulty maintaining that reputation in a larger metropolis with more hotel competition. The public areas are stylish and the restaurant is very "French". However, the room we had was average, at best.... I'm sure that in a more summery time of the year the hotel environs would contribute markedly to improve the overall impression/appearance. But in mid-March everything looked quite bleak.

This is the 5th time I've stayed at this hotel since 2007. It's always been essential to book a park view room to get a quiet room, but I've always had a good sleep in the comfortable beds and good food in the restaurant. However, it seems the beds are being replaced this year, and this time I had the hardest bed I've ever experienced in a German hotel and a very poor nights sleep. This is OK if you like a hard bed, but next time I visit Saarbruecken, I'll be choosing another hotel.
