Very nice hotel with great views of mountains and valley, right in front yard. Great breakfast with a lot of options, room is very clean and quiet, also spacious for 3. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Wengen.

What a wonderful stay in Wengen. The hosts were kind, professional and warm. The room was what we needed. It was perfect for 2. The view was amazing and such a great location. We were thrilled. We moved on Murren for the night and wish we had stayed here again.

Great hotel and highly recommend

On a recent 2 week trip through Switzerland my husband and I stayed in multiple hotels and enjoyed our stay at Alpenruhe in Wengen the most. We were there for 4 nights and the room and the service was excellent. The hotel has the design and feel of a well kept “non-touristy” Swiss chalet. The attention to detail was above average, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was especially helpful with providing transportation to and from the hotel (good with large luggage but not needed for the 10 minute walk into the town center or train station if you don’t have mobility issues). Their included breakfast buffet is outstanding - hot eggs to order, cereals, breads, juices, hot drinks, and multiple platters of fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, etc. Wengen is a wonderful car-free village with easy access to regional sights and hikes by train or gondola. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Wish we could stay here longer! We loved the location, vibe, service, and comfort of Hotel Alpenruhe. The views and location are truly better than the photos you'll see online. Wengen is the perfect home base to explore the Lauterbrunnen/Jungfrau area with convenient access to the rest of the towns. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at hotel alpenruhe! The location in wegan is beautiful. The hotel itself is very cute and has excellent views. The staff are so kind and helpful and the breakfast is fantastic!

The views from the Hotel are majestic. The breakfast was good but not great. Service is ok. The rooms are very small and congested. No A/C in rooms.

Love - The staffs - very very friendly!!! The public area - design is very cute and homely with Nordic vibe. The view. The breakfast was served with heart. Okay - the room is on the smaller side but we understand you are paying for the view.

This hotel was incredible. It was beautiful, historic, and had great views. The breakfast was amazing and the friendliness of the staff was the icing on the cake. My boyfriend and I wanted to stay longer. I highly recommend, especially for couples.

The location here is unbeatable! Beautiful views-the best! The staff went above and beyond and everything we needed was available. Breakfast was delicious and the whole stay was very special! Hope to visit again!

I had such a lovely stay at the hotel. The views were spectacular, and the hospitality warm. They fetched me and my oversized luggage at the train station, and save me a walk up the hill. Same thing heading back down. There is so much wonderful hiking in the region, and I’ll be back here for sure to keep exploring!

This was an amazing hotel with great views. We upgraded to a larger corner room which was very spacious. Friends that were with us had a much smaller room and bath that was similar to a cruise ship. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not good for me, but my husband liked them. They were probably down or something like that. They seemed fluffy until you laid on them and then they would sink. I had to double mine over in order to sleep. But that was the only thing that I can complain about. It was a little hike up the hill from the train station, but they picked us up when we arrived with luggage and the rest of the time we walked . There were a few English speaking stations on the TV. We ate breakfast which was delicious with lots of choices and the staff was very very helpful and friendly. There was fresh baked bread from a local bakery and made to order fried and scrambled eggs. Also soft boiled eggs were available. Be sure and try the scrambled eggs. They even offered information for places for dinner and once made reservations for us.

We stayed for 2 nights and we really appreciated their service and willingness to help (especially Eileen & Paul!). They reviewed our itinerary and gave us very helpful tips and insights. The room and the amenities are pretty basic and maybe abit small for U.S standards but we didn't really need anything fancier than that. The shower curtain in our room had some mold but they quickly replaced it when we told them about it. We also really enjoyed the fresh breakfast!

The view from the balcony was stunning! The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of fresh, local options. There was a bit of a hike up a large hill to get there, but they do offer pick up service from the train station. A+ all around!
