The location is good and the view from the rooms is beautiful. They all face the water.
However, towels were dirty, I only managed to have one hot shower in 2 days - the rest were all cold, with no hot water all weekend.
Food at the ‘bistro’ is very basic, still expensively priced, and not at all fresh. I’ve had better fruit salad from a can - which was $10.
The pool is fine, small but was clean and warm.

We had a few nights at Chantilly’s to settle in the city before heading out of town. The resort is clean and tidy with incredible views over the water. Sunsets are amazing. Nice and close to downtown Port Vila being an easy 15 min walk along the boardwalk.

Credit Card Fraud.
This August 2023 I traveled to Vanuatu to perform voluntary assistance to the dental/hospital in Port Villa.
My patron booked and paid to stay at Chantill's via Expedia.
On arrival, my credit card details was requested for any sundry charges, although there would be none as my patron was supporting my voluntary contribution to Vanuatu's health system. On departure my patron paid my sundry costs.
My stay at Chantill's was pleasant, however irreversibly soured by their fraudulent behavior.
On returning to Australia, I noted 2 addition nights accommodation charges totaling AU$460.55 applied to my credit card.
After numerous communications between my patron, confirming the booking and stay had already been paid for.
At this time Chantill's has not returned those total funds to my credit card.
For me, this constitutes a form of International fraud or scam on behalf of Chantill's.
With all the booking details and payments confirmed back to Chantill's, this can not be mistake or clerical error.

On return to Australia I found two additional days charges on my credit card even though it was prepaid through yourselves. My advice, do not give them your credit card details.

Our pre-paid room was billed out onto a credit card twice more on the day after departure. Reception staff are either fraudulent or incompetent. Don't allow them use of a credit card at reception. Totally dishonest.

The room wise tidy but not really clean and it stunk of cigarette smoke. The noise from the Banyan bar next door was really really loud (we were getting up at 4am to get to the airport for a 7am departure). The sliding doors out to the balcony didn't work propery and needs new runners(one of the doors fell out when i initially opened it), it did lock though. Water pressure in both hot and cold taps and shower was great. Sheets and pillow cases were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable, unfortunately there were no blankets. Overall for what it costs we will stay elsewhere in the future. On a positive note we will continue to come here for meals, the super seed salads are Awesome.

Staff are the best thing at Chantillys. They are so kind and gracious and helpful. Food for our workshop was really good and the staff was very helpful if we needed anything during our meeting. Pool is lovely and the views are superb. The room was also comfortable.

Great location easy walk into main part of Port Vila.
Loved catching the mini buses that go past the front if you want to travel a little further and didn't feel like walking, look for the B on the number plate and it will cost 150 VT each way.
The apartment was large with a kitchen, but lacked cooking utensils. Reception did manage to give us a frypan and saucepan for us to use when asked so that was helpful.
The pool was lovely, a couple of times tried to get someone's attention to order a drink or snack but it didn't happen.
The Banyan bar next door that is associated with Chantilly's was excellent, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Happy hour was a winner.
Clearly some of the staff lacked experience which did show in some areas, I'm sure in time this will improve.
Overall we enjoyed our 7 day stay and look forward to returning to Vanuatu.

Property was conveniently located within walking distance to centre of town. Although a little dated the hotel overall was pleasant to stay at. Views were wonderful from our top floor room. Disappointing that the balcony had no roof so no protection from rain or sun. Kitchen in room was handy. On site restuarant was fantastic. Complimentary breakfast was delicious! Staff friendly and accomidating although house keeping a little below standard.

Excellent location. Food quite good. Bathroom is just plain bad bad design - enter bath room and have to step in shower area to get to toilet - not good when shower floor wet! I also wished they would repair the roof canopy so we could use the room balcony which has a lovely view. Its many years since cyclone Pam, but no sign of them putting back the cover, without which the balcony can only be used in good weather - I left stuff out on a sunny morning and it was drenched by lunch time. For such a relatively small amount compared with the value of the property, this is negligent.

Bought 7 nights including breakfast buffet but was disappointed to hear when I got there that they never offered it, only continental breakfast with limited options. Complained about it and was offered an upgrade to their resort (sister company) but I didnt take up on their offer as the location wasnt as good. I was told I could get anything I wanted from their continental breakfast menu then. I also had dinner included, which the staff and manager werent aware of that option either but I was told I could have anything from their menu, and I was happy as their restaurant is pretty good, as well as the staff. Overall, I had a good time with them

Nice room but bathroom wasn’t very clean and the people who designed the bathroom should be fired. Toilet is stuck behind the bathroom door and you can’t access it unless you step in the shower. They should replace the door for a sliding door or make it open the other way around. Other than that the rest of the room was big and nice, well equipped great ocean view, staff was nice and French toasts were good, great location too.

Lovely people, stunning view. The staff make this property work as they're all lovely to interact with. The same can't be said of the bathroom, it needed a good scrub sadly. The restaurant was nice with good food & the pool is great to dip in. Overall an okay hotel for a midrange price in an expensive hotel/resort market. Paul is a great help with tours and a cheerful man at breakfast as were all staff we encountered. The bed was also very comfortable.

Hotel is in great location, right on the waterfront. It is an easy flat walk to town and to several local restaurants and beach side bars. Staff at the hotel are very helpful and most welcoming. But the rooms in the hotel are tired and very run down.

Simple and basic, but good enough to stay few nights for work. Some staff are friendly and kind and some are not.
Hope the reception has staff at least from morning to evening like until 9pm. Nobody was at the reception when I called the reception and this happened during the entire time in my stay for a week. Please refill amenities as these were provided on the first day. House keeping service was good but did not fill amenities every time they clean my room.
Hope to see a better service and staff next time! Generally satisfied but you can be a lot better if you can improve some!

Arrived at the hotel only to be told we had been moved to another hotel without explanation. The new room wasnt ready when we arrived and as it was already 9pm which meant we only got a few hours sleep until our early flight in the morning. They also refused to provide us with transfer to the airport in the morning which cost us more than double due to the new hotel being much further away. Instead they simply told us to ring a taxi. A disappointing failure in customer service and basic communication skills for a 4-star hotel.

2 night stay was more than enough. No atmosphere. Dated room. Pool ok but when you have the sea next to you you cant swim in it as a government ban because of problem in the ocean there. Not a place for kids as the ones we saw there looked bored rigid. Port Vila leaves a lot to be desired.
