Must go hotel

The receptionist and manager forced me to upgrade because I have a child (who does not need extra bed) so I did and I paid the upgrade fees in cash at check in. They gave me a receipt that shows only part of my cash payment (for one night) when they forced me to pay for all the nights and I did. At check out, they asked me to pay for the upgrade fees again for the remaining nights because the receipt only shows I paid for one night. I should have checked the receipt carefully but I never expected them to be such a fraud. I ended up paying double of what I should have paid for the room upgrade which was forced to begin with. I paid in cash so I don’t have proof other than the wrong amount on the receipt. Also, there was no hot water in the shower and thry couldn’t fix it the entire night. I showered in cold water then tried to sleep wearing my jacket as I was freezing. Argued with them the whole night to fix the hot water and didn’t get any sleep at all.

Wonderful resort - beautiful beach

Super clean hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast and lunch buffet food options, enough room at the pool lounges. Staff at the beach super friendly (for instance my phone died and one of the beach boys without asking gave me his phone and told me to return his phone once I'm done).

Very nice, high-end hotel and facilities. Great location and outdoor facilities. Very friendly and competent staff. It would be nice to have a broader and less overpriced food offer, e.g. at the very nice pool restaurant.

The staff was amazing and the restaurants provided high quality dinners. Location is right between Old Town Albufeira and Vilamoura.

The one thing this hotel lacks is service. There are no staff by the pool side and when you do see one they are no paying attention. On the half board package you get an insulting 20 euro discount from a la carte restaurants. The food and drinks are very expensive which is why nobody eats or drinks by the pool. I arrived at 1am and when I got to the room it was like a sauna. The air conditioning is very weak and so did not cool down until the next day so the sleep was very bad. At the Japanese restaurant the menus are on iPads and the internet is poor throughout the hotel so the iPads did not work. On the plus side, food at the buffet for breakfast and dinner is decent as is the service there. In conclusion, the hotel has the potential to be very good but lack of training and quality of the service lets it down.

Friendly staff

We have visited the Epic sana algarve many times and it never fails to give us a wonderful stay. The staff, food, location and overall peace and tranquility is perfect!

This hotel is paradise. The location, the amenities (gym!!), pools, staff, food, cleanliness (everything's spotless!) - everything was perfect. We cannot thank the staff enough.

It’s unfortunate to book in a hotel and make you pay 100 € for a relaxing chair in the beach , also the food is pretty expensive if you want to grab a quick meal next to the pool I think that the place is really over rated and a bit expensive for what they offer … I should mention that the room description says that it sleeps 4 but once at the place they made us pay extra for each child saying that the room only fits 2 adults and one baby … we ended with the same room we booked but we payed an extra 400€ for two night …

Wonderful staff, beautiful facilities!

Highly recommend this hotel. The overall experience was very much 5*. The staff were wonderful. The location is as good as it gets sitting atop Falésia Beach and close to local shops and local cafe’s and bars. Will definitely return. Breakfast good too.

Excellent stay in the Algarve! Staff helped us with events, dinners, activities - they were wonderful! Beautiful resort and amenities. A 5 star experience!

Great crew, beautiful property and setup

Amazing resort on a great location on the ocean

This is a perfect place to relax and take in local culture in the Algarve. The setting and facilities are amazing. Great pools and a beach just a boardwalk away down a remarkable series of cliff-side steps to a stunning beach. The suite was clean, spacious and bright.

Very nice property with a very accommodating staff!

Beautiful grounds, great choice of places to relax and eat. The interiors of the main hotel building felt a little dated but otherwise we had a very relaxing stay which felt like a treat.

Great gym

Nice well maintained property. Restaurants are excellent especially UDDO, the Japanese restaurant. Great beach access. However, the ocean view from the Ocean View Room was very disappointing. Could hardly see the water.

Property is well maintained and clean with very well appointed grounds. However, the design of the room is not very desirable. The sliding door for the bathroom shower only allows either the shower or the toilet to be enclosed not both. The tub in our room seemed out of place and too large for the room. It stuck out and was a hazard when getting up T night to use the bathroom. Bumped into the edge of the tub several times. The mattress on the bed was terrible and felt as if we were sleeping on a board which was quite unexpected for a five star resort. The food at the resort was overpriced so luckily we were able to get dining options within walking distance. Certainly did not expect to be charged for bottled water at the pool. Again totally unexpected for a property like this considering what the room cost.

Beautiful and relaxing resort

We had such a lovely time at Epic Sana. The hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the beach was beautiful
