Room phone not working, TV without cable connection, fly snatched on wall, door latch broken, drape broken and could not close so no privacy, and more. The pro was that it was feet from Zocalo. I

The Zocalo dining area was very walkable and safe.

Honestly, it was a bad decision to stay in this hotel. There is nothing dood I can say about this hotel, my wife and I had to leave the hotel before the day check out. Bad smell in the bathroom, a lot of noise in the hallways, cleaning was terrible, no AC. Etc.

The beds were terrible the springs were poking us. The other bed was uneven and could not sleep. The curtain stick was vent and could not close curtains properly and the secure lock was breaking it was hanging.

Property location desirable. Standard room small.property very clean.shower had hot water. No toilet issues. Staff very friendly. 24 hour attendant. Pleasant environment felt safe and secure.

The hotel is in a good location but the condition is terrible, the cold water in the bath is not working, the lock inside in the door is down, as well the toilet paper dispenser..

I love the was so close to the zocalo, dinning areas and museums. Excellent location. It is simple bedding and tight rooms, but it was just for sleeping, so it was perfect. very clean and the cleaning lady was so helpful and nice. Also the reception, except from one man who received us the day we arrived. he was not very helpful and did not want to take the pay in cash for our reservation, because we book it in line. no customers empathy or help. Otherwise everything was great and we love it.

Great location but this property needs an upgrade. There was a strong sewage smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom. The phone didn't work. The fan didn't work. The TV did not work. And of course no refrigerator nor a safe box.

Short 4-5 days of awesome! Shopping and relaxing, eating and sleeping! Got to love the weather in Oaxaca 😍 Can’t wait to go back and stay at Hotel Gala once again..... we feel right at home

There is no elevator or ac. There were live bugs on the floor. Everything is a bit time worn or faded. Things seemed clean otherwise. It was extremely noisy as my room faced into hall seating area and to get air the windows needed to be kept open. There was a ceiling fan which helped.
In the Galas favor ,It was centrally located. It made getting around easier. It certainly was cheap and if all you’re looking for is a a place to lay your head, this is it. The bed was much harder than I am used to so bear that in mind.

It’s location is good. We booked a full size bed they gave us two twin beds. No ac no windows. They have cockroaches. It said they have 24/7 room service they don’t. They don’t even a place where you can eat
