Bedclothes smelt musty and bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Breakfast is standard and normally includes bacon as an option as well as wholemeal type of bread. Both of these were absent at Beaune B & B. Unfortunately as a result I will look for a different hotel next visit

I did not expect luxury, but the problem was the location, a 20 min walk home alone in the dark from the town centre, as there are no taxis in the evening in Beaune. that should be clear in the information given.

I have given the hotel an unsatisfactory evaluation on "Cleanliness" due to permitting people to smoke just outside the front door to the hotel and not requiring the smokers to move away and dispose of their cigarette butts in the appropriate containers which should be located far away from the doors and windows of the hotel. Smoking is a disgusting habit made worse by inconsiderate smokers who are near doors and windows that bring the smoke inside the facility. The hotel has a responsibility to all of its guests to provide a clean and friendly atmosphere free from noxious and harmful smoke. In all other respects, the hotel 's cleanliness was satisfactory.

Beaune is a great place to visit, but the hotels can be pricey. B&B Hotel Beaune Sud 2 is a good budget alternative, especially if you have a car since it is a bit of a walk to the town center. My room here was similar to and as good as ones at Ibis where Ive stayed before at a higher price. Also, the manager of this hotel is very very nice!

Very disappointing stay! Everything pointed to the fact that the bed sheets had not been changed since the previous guests - the sheets were all wrinkly as if someone had slept on it and we found hair that were not ours. Since we arrived late after office hours there were no one in the reception to talk to. We ended up sleeping on top of the duvet. Also, there were almost no toilet paper left and the toilet bowl had traces from previous users. Upon check-out, the reception was unmanned and again, we could not speak to any of the staff. All in all, very poor cleaning, poor staffing and old facilities that smelled of cigarette smoke. The only positive things I have to say about this hotel is the convenient system they have in place for late check-in and the cheap price. However, you get what you pay for and in this case you get LESS than what you pay for! I have payed similar prices for other hotels in the Dijon area that have provided much better rooms and services.

The only negative things are that it is quite close to the trainline, so there is some noise as a result and, the breakfast room is small and choice was limited.

The hotel was within a nice walk to a supermarket, ATM and the quaint old centre of town where there is lots to see. The hotel itself was great for a place to sleep but lacked any flair or warmth of atmosphere. The service staff were friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast was available too.

Small and narrow Roms. Only 1 chair and a small table.

Definitely designed with economy of space in mind. Convenient to highway and to the local Carrefour grocery store, and also to Beaune.

Fire exit door open at all times for entry & exit outside our room- noisy and surely making the hotel insecure to guests who have to input code for entry via main door. Mattress soiled and had no mattress protected. Duvets were too small for the width of bed.

Just what was needed for an overnight stop in middle of long journey and easy to find from main road. Reception staff friendly and kindly spoke English for us. Room small but comfortable.

Cheap and cheerful. Similar to a Travel Lodge or Ibis just a bit smaller.

Clean, good maintenance and good location. Smells awfully like cigarette.

Inexpensive, new, clean, functional and surprisingly quite, given it's location.
