Ideal location, very friendly staff and a pleasurable stay

Lovely hotel, with potential to be so much better. Great garden out the rear to have a drink in and for kids to play. Room was big but very dated and cleanliness was poor. Curtains aren’t black out, need blinds on the windows. The food in the restaurant was lovely in the evening but the breakfast hit and miss, one morning we ordered breakfast, the next morning we had to help ourself to soggy food left standing for a long time. The disappointing part was the lack of hoovering, our room had hairs on the carpet and bits like it hadn’t been hoovered in a while. We ate in the restaurant the 1st night, our little girls dropped some crumbs on the floor and a little piece of pasta, it was still on the floor 2 days later. This hotel has such potential to be fabulous.

Amazing hotel slightly dated but reflected in the price, one of the only hotels i stayed in for business that i would stay again with my own money. Only criticism apart from slight dated is the tv is a little small bit again reflected in the price.

Paid for a top room with Juliet balcony and Jacuzzi bath. The balcony goes onto the car park, so no point in the balcony at all because of the noise of the car park and lack of privacy. Tatty piece of material above the bed is awful, so tatty it's been sewn up numerous times. The hotel is worn out and needs a refurb.

The room was well xx ared for, bed was extremely comfortable with high quality sheets, quilt cover and pillows.

We had a great stay! The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was really great value - thick cut bacon and proper sausages. We ate there for dinner one night and it was also delicious. The hotel was also very quiet so easy to get a peaceful nights sleep. The only down side was the bed was very uncomfortable - lots of springs digging into us. Please take a look at the bed in 108! However, we would come back if in the area

We had a great stay with very friendly staff plus a substantial and well-cooked breakfast; it was just a shame the gym wasn't open Saturday afternoon.

The staff were all extremely friendly and that includes the member of staff in the gym. The food was very good from the Ripleys restaurant and breakfast was served fresh and hot. The gym was well equipped. My room was clean with an easy to use heater.

Excellent stay. Friendly staff, good food and a spacious and comfortable room. Also dog friendly but I think £15 per night extra for a dog is a bit excessive. Overall though, a nice comfortable stay

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I enjoyed it greatly. The staff were very welcoming. the room was great as was the food, the evening meal was excellent. There was also plenty of good service at the bar. I must also commend the excellent service at breakfast.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Comfortable room and great bed. We ate in Ripleys Restaurant and food was really lovely. The only comments are that the room wasn’t serviced when we arrived and younger waiting staff really need some customer service training.

We stayed at the hotel as a stop-off on our way back from Cornwall. Good, free parking was available. Staff were friendly and breakfast was excellent. The room was fine. Not the most comfortable beds and we were unable to use the TV as there was no remote.

I always stay here when i'm working in the area. Its a lovely hotel, everyone is friendly and welcoming, the food is great and rooms very comfortable.
