Excellent space. Finding somewhere to eat in the off season was difficult and disappointing.

Wonderful experience from beginnung to end. The owner and staff did everything to make our stay very comfotable. Breakfast was positively delicious.

A lovely hotel in the center of the town. Easy to walk to delicious seafood restaurants. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful.

Wonderful hotel in a superb location right in the centre of town, with easy access to everything, but without lots of noise. A peaceful place with excellent service - Roberta at reception was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Good breakfast selection too. Very clean rooms. Photos dont do the hotel justice.

Can I give 6 out of 5? Utterly charming hosts, great location, beautiful rooms and fantastic breakfast. Well deserving of all the high praise in other reviews. We have stayed in many hundreds of hotels around the world and I can honestly say this tiny place is in my top ten.

We have stayed here on previous visits to Sicily. It is one of the best and we highly recommend it. This time we had the Premium Water View Unit with a balcony overlooking the harbor. It doesn’t get any better than this. Clean and nicely designed units is what you can expect. The breakfast selections are perfect including a nice selection of cheeses, meats, mini sandwiches and pizza style bread, crescent rolls and breads and jellies, fruits and a wide selection of sweets. Cappuccino is our favorite. The staff is excellent and supportive, especially Roberta. She will print boarding passes, arrange for car service and offer excellent choices of restaurants. Centrally located and in walking distance to beaches, museums and restaurants. Don’t hesitate to stay here.

Modern hotel in the heart of the old city. The staff is quite helpful and recommended excellent restaurants within walking distance right on the harbor.

Great location near the water and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants. It is a small hotel, but the staff are excellent and the breakfast had a variety of options. It is located within a restricted driving zone so once you get to the hotel they will record your license plate and give you a parking permit. We were there in October so there was plenty of street parking but high season could be a challenge.

Great location. They have really nice rooms and breakfast service and very attentive staff, even if some don't speak good English. There is also parking which is very helpful in this town.

Perfect location at the steps to the Lungomare and steps to Via Garabaldi, the main shopping and restaurant street. Roberta, the receptionist, is always ready to assist visitors with friendly advice. The outdoor patio is pleasant for breakfast. Gabriel, the owner, makes every effort to make her guests comfortable. The small size makes it an intimate stay. A winner. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We were very impressed with Hotel Sopra le Mura. The location is perfect...right at the center of Castelemare del Golfo where all the shops and restarauranta are located yet quite because it is right at the start of the long avenue and just a few meters from the main port. Simple but elegantly designed this little hotel has beautiful vintage furniture and objects all around the common areas. Good quality guest amenities, great sheets and comfortable mattresses. We were surprised at such high quality hotel for the rate that we paid. Either this little gem of a hotel undervalues their accommodation or all the other hotels are overcharging:) by far one of the best stay in Sicily.

The Hotel Sopra Le Mura and it's staff was one of our most memorable places to stay in Sicily! The staff are genuinely caring and generous -- they embody the Sicilian generosity. The hotel has seamlessly renovated the original spectacular architecture -- the rooms are well designed spacious and clean with contemporary and modern facilities which incorporate visual motifs from this part of the world. Sicilans take great pride in their breakfast offerings and Hotel Sopra is no exception... their tables are filled with local handmade delicacies, pastries made by Gabriella or the local bakery, the finest organic local figs, pistachios, ricotta, eggs, and a cornacopia of cheeses and endless stream of espresso coffees. I read from another traveler that this was their favorite place during their trip and both my husband and my two kids would have to agree. This hotel is a special slice of heaven -- hope they never change!! They are doing it just right.
