Spent 3 nights in Old City. Great location. Quiet street which was a plus. Check in process was great. Communication with the host was great. Sophie was quick and super responsive . House is as pictured. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect location!
Only “complaint” we had is the lack of comfortable furniture. This house is not for you if you’re hoping to kick back and relax or simply hang out with those in your party. Not a single comfortable spot to sit other than your bed.
Also, only access to the single bathroom was through the main bedroom.

Everything about this house was amazing! The location, charm, history, convenience made our short visit a memorable one. The house was spotless and the host, Sophie, was wonderful to deal with. The only negative was that we weren't able to stay longer. 100% recommend.

Our stay here was truly charming. The property was beautiful, clean, and so historically interesting! The location was awesome. Sophie was so communicative and responsive. We could not have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was old and unique, which we loved. It was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of room for everyone. Located in a very walkable neighborhood, the property is very close to Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross’s house, and other historic sites. The host was very communicative and wonderful to deal with.

Such a cute and historic home to stay in! Easy and quick walk to the historic sites and a close walk to Penn’s Landing, too!
The bathroom did not seem as clean as I thought and the tub had mold around it. I know mold stains so I’m not sure if it was that or new mold.
Also, I recommend NOT wearing socks on the stairs!
Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would recommend it.

It was really cute. We love unique places and this ticked the boxes. The host was 😊 wonderful about responding and super gracious.
We were close enough to what we wanted to do that we didn't need a car or to call a ride share. If you are going to the neighborhood market, take the reusable bags in the kitchen, otherwise you have to pay for one! The Japanese place right by the market is pretty good. Overall a lovely stay on a lovely little side road.
I wish we had been warned about two things though. The stairs are extremely steep and we had two great grandparents with us. Luckily there wasn't a problem, but it would have been nice to be aware beforehand. The other is that the bathroom is accessible only through the master bedroom. Cool, just would have been nice to see in the listing.

Location was awesome, super walkable, close to public transit if needed. History of the neighborhood and the home itself on display everywhere. Plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. all within just a few blocks. House was clean, check in/out very smooth, host was communicative throughout.

Sophie's house was fantastic. It was comfortable, located on a historic street, in the best historic part of Philadelphia. It is convenient to everywhere in the city, either walking, public transportation, or Uber. It is only 15 minutes to South Philly & the Stadiums by Uber. Independence Hall & the Historic District is a 10 minute walk. Sonny's fantastic cheese steaks is 2 blocks away. 2nd year we've stayed here, will again!

Such a sweet historic home in old city. The street is a little oasis…. Quiet and peaceful. So easy to check in and out. I would definitely stay again!!

We had a wonderful weekend get away for an event at Lincoln Field. This location was perfect. A block to the subway and a short walk to Reading Terminal and many other restaurants. We felt very safe walking everywhere. The house is on an adorable cobblestone street. Old City was a very quaint place to stay. I would recommend this location as long as you can climb the stairs to the two top floors to the bedrooms and bathroom.

This quaint little apartment in Old City was perfect for our family trip to Philly. We LOVED being in walking distance of all history sights. The alley on which the house was, was adorable with cobblestones and the whole 9 yards! The architecture of the house was very unique and historic. Things were very clean and comfortable and we had all that we needed! Thank you Sophie for a magnificent stay in Philly! We would use you again in a heart beat if we returned. Thank you! PS. Sonny's Philly cheesesteaks on Market St is a quick walk and had the BEST FOOD!

We had a lovely comfortable time in this little row home on the cutest quiet street. Everything was perfect, though the staircase is not for the faint of heart or socks! Would definitely stay again. Just a short walk from the bell and independence hall, lots of restaurants close by too. Thank you!

I took my husband here for 2 nights as a surprise for his birthday. We both enjoy older homes and old cities. The location of this home is excellent! The kitchen had everything that we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and neat and we truly enjoyed our stay, we would come back again. I highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys American history. There are so many restaurants and activities within walking distance that we didn’t even need to use our car, which was conveniently parked right behind the house in a parking lot that cost $30 for 24 hours, which isn’t bad in the city! We could actually see our car from the bathroom window, that is how close the lot is.

Decided on a last minute trip to Philadelphia from Rhode Island to see a few sights-one being the Battleship New Jersey. Found this very quaint house that was close to everything and the price was super reasonable. We were able to walk to grab dinner and check out the little shops. We had a very comfortable relaxing stay. The house was as listed and very clean. Host was quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay again.

The location had everything we needed and enough space for our family of six! Sleeping accommodations and home were comfortable, it was conveniently located near everything, and hosts were very communicative and considerate (considering it was cold and snowy they came a few minutes before we arrived to make sure heat was turned up!). Also, convenient parking lots next door and across the street. Thanks for a nice stay!

What a unique property! It had plenty of space on a pretty street but was still just a few blocks from restaurants, historic sites, and more.
It's not every day that you get the chance to stay in a home built in the 1740's. We loved it.
The host was responsive, helpful, and had so many little touches that made the trip easy and more like home - shampoo, lotion, tea, decent selection of spices/cooking basics, plenty of linens, plenty of dishes, paper towels..... She even left coffee for us! It was great.
The house has all you need but doesn't feel cluttered or crowded at all. Highly recommend.
Two thing to note (but NOT dealbreakers!): the stairs are very steep and you need solid footing to use them. It wasn't a problem for us, though. The living room is a nice place to have a cup of coffee or chat for a few minutes. The seating isn't the comfiest so I wouldn't hang out there for a very long time.

Very cute place in the Old City section of town. Close to lots of attractions. I had meetings at the Convention Center during our stay, and it was easy to get there via the subway a couple blocks over or just by walking about 20 minutes. Stairs in the unit are very narrow, curvy and steep, so beware if you are mobility-challenged. My teenagers and I enjoyed the walkable neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For a family and friends, who wanted to see the historic aspects of downtown Philadelphia this was a great addition. We had a historic place to stay in, as well as to see everything else around old city. I would highly recommend this property.

The house was so old and unique and made you feel like walking back in time. The older locks, wooden floors and unique staircase were all amazing. Everything was clean and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal in if you wanted. If you wanted to go out, there were so many things to see and do within an easy 15 min walk. Wonderful place. I would highly recommend and I hope to be back myself.

The home was so close to everything---a 15 minute walk at most--and the location is great for food and dining, shopping, and so much of the Philadelphia history! The home is about 250 years old and is on such a nice street---really felt at home. The host is great on communication and was very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here if you want to experience Old City Philadelphia.
