We had a family room -it was spacious, but the decor was outdated. There were lots of flies - as it's located on a farm/open area- which meant we couldn't open windows and it got very stuffy. A fan in the room would have helped.

You will love it if you likes the nature environment. Lamm served at the restaurant is super delicious

Great Icelandic experience! Staff was friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were a breeze, the cottage was spacious and had all of the essentials, and the hot tubs were warm!

Small, staff unfriendly. Cabin advertised with tv which was important to my brother for relaxing un the evening. It was broken, they were unapologetic. Restaurant advertised but its only made to order and you had to order ahead of time. Way off the beaten path.

Friendly staff, beautiful area. Nice breakfast. Diner was okay, children menu (smaller portions/price) would've been nice. Room is nice and clean, bed is super!

No coffee for the coffee machine in the cottage. Everything else was great.

Guesthouse was roomy with 3 beds with a large bathroom - excellent accommodations.

Enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was particularly good. Staff helpful only issue was getting large bags up to third floor steep steps no assistance offered. Two older women were struggling more than us. Nice place , recommended

The cottage is in a farm, a bit off the main road and a little bit far from Myvatn tourist attractions. Though, Beautiful scene, nice restaurant and wonderful breakfast made it a nice stay.

It was nice to stay in a remote area, with sheep wandering around right outside our window! But having to remove our shoes every single time we entered the building was annoying and both the room and the restaurant were kept way too hot! Need a few more parking spaces.

It is a guesthouse, but actually it looks more like a hotel! A large dining room for a breakfast buffet and dinner in the evening (2-course menu of the day). Rooms are not big, but there is enough practical space. The shared bathrooms only consist of 2 shower rooms, but there is a sink in the bedroom itself. Beautiful and peaceful environment!

Quaint and nice. It was a little far out but enjoyed being on a peaceful farm with beautiful views.

This is a charming property on a farm with the most delicious food we’ve had on our trip! Fresh, local, and abundant—the breakfast, especially cannot be missed! It’s a bit far away but the quiet idyllic space makes up for that.

I have never stayed in a place like this before. We were asked to take our shoes off to walk around inside and the guests mingled in the common areas - it was all very cosy and friendly. Different sections had their own bathroom, so even though we had to share we only had to share with two other rooms. The rooms were roomy and had their own sink which was nice. Comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend Stong Guesthouse

Hubby and I stayed here for our second night around the ring road. Very nice and accommodating. Even okay for sharing a bathroom. The breakfast was great!

Best coffee we had during our trip. The service was great and the facilities were peaceful.

This property was really out in the middle of nowhere. It was a cute place but I wish we'd chosen something closer to everything. The room was very basic and took a while to warm up with the radiator. Those were really the only downsides. The staff was nice and the hot tubs were good. We pet some gorgeous horses coming down the driveway!

Beautiful location and facilities, and an incredibly nice host!

There were not a lot of options in the Myvatn area when we were there. Guesthouse Stong was away from any decent sized towns. We did not like the accommodations. Our room felt as if it was attic made into two rooms. The stairs were more like a ladder and for my wife it was difficult and nearly impossible carrying a suitcase. It was not what we expected but with that being said the room was clean, safe and the buildings appeared to be in good repair. I am sure this property will meet the needs of the majority but it was just not our type of place.

The cottages are in the midst of a farm, in a very rural setting. It is wide open with great views. The cottage was very well designed with a compact and fully stocked kitchen. There was nice warm shower with heated floors in the bathroom. There are a few cottages dotted around the property with plenty of space between. Looks just like the photo.

A comfortable little spot in the Lake region. Clean, spacious room with lovely views. Breakfast was so-so, but everything else was really nice. Friendly, helpful staff.
