Lovely staff, nice food and a very comfortable bed.

Great location, nice staff. Far too many dogs for me though. It says ‘dog friendly’ so fair enough, but this was on another level and in every dining and accommodation area. It was very busy and almost every customer had a dog. Dogs with their faces resting on tables next to their owner’s plate… You have to be a dog person to enjoy this I think.

The property was not up to standard, had to change rooms twice, due to noise and exceptional smell. Harry the night manager went out of his way to try and make things right, and the manager at breakfast was also very polite, and the breakfast was lovely and fresh, . Unfortunately the general manager Nick , was very unhelpful, after Harry had messaged him and told him about the issues occurred. On booking out, unfortunately issues still had not been rectified. So would not visit there again.

Only complaint was WiFi Guest is unsecured so my devices wouldn’t work and TV signal isn’t the greatest. Rooms could do with AC. Apart from those little niggles I would definitely stay again, in fact will be staying again. Sea views magnificent. Food very good. Room and bathroom quirky well decorated and comfortable King size bed.

We stayed at The Ship inn for a one night get away for my boyfriends 30th birthday. We had an amazing stay, the food was lovely and the room was so comfortable it was probably the best nights sleep we had! The staff were super friendly and we felt very welcome. We look forward to returning in the summer.

Awoken by builders at 8.30,on a Friday morning, when arriving too early to check in told to go away, no,offer of checking the room and taking our luggage, WiFi not working.

Found a good deal for the last night of our trip round Norfolk and the Broads. Situated overlooking the beach, although we couldn't get a sea view room, which was a shame, as our outlook wasn't the best, but probably wouldn't have seen much anyway as it was torrential rain, but our room was big enough, the bed was comfy, calm grey/blue colours throughout, the large tv was a bonus as I didn't need my glasses to see it, the toilet cistern squeaked all night, but just kept door shut. Plenty tea and coffee inc sachets of latte and cappuccino which was nice. Had a meal in the pub restaurant. Not a massive choice but the portions were plenty and the wine was nice. Shame about social distancing as we were put in a large room with 2 groups of families with a lot of children, so couldn't hear ourselves talk as all we could hear was them because it just echoed. Other than that, enjoyed our night and slept well.

Stayed overnight at the ship. Made to feel very welcome. Good service. Nice evening meal. Good wholesome pub grub. Breakfast was very good. Located just above the Mundesley beach.

Our room was small but fine for one night. It didn’t have blackout curtains so we were woken early by the sun and also the kitchen extractor which was very loud. A bit of attention to some holes in the wall and a mismatch wardrobe unit which spoilt the decor which was otherwise lovely. Positive - bed was so comfy, location amazing and lovely decor downstairs

The photo on the website made the Ship Inn appear more inviting than I found it to be. It would have been nice to have been welcomed with a 'welcome to the Ship Inn' or 'hello' or even an acknowledgement that we were there, but the guy didn't even look at us. There are various ways of being told the kitchen is about to be shut when you want food, but 'the kitchen's about to close and you have 1 minute to order' (with no sign of a menu) isn't one of them. And I've never been shown a room and told to 'feel free' to use the towels and toiletries before! One off the wall plugs in the bedroom was gaffer taped over so couldn't be used, so no bedside lamp on that side of the bed... The whole place was unwelcoming, charmless and felt slightly grubby. On the plus side, the sea view was lovely, but was overpriced for what it was and, as it was a special birthday for my wife, we decided not to stay to be even more disappointed. We were there maybe 15 minutes in total, and that was too long.

Location on was virtually on the the beech, we also had a sea view from the room.
