Restaurant is very nice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good.

Great location right next to the cross country slope and very close to the center, supermarkets, cafés and bakeries. The room and bathroom were very clean. (Limited number of) free parking slots infront of the hotel. Simple but nice breakfast. Good coffee. Owner/staff generally very friendly.

Rooms without balcony are very small and don't get much sun. Better pay a little more for a room with a balcony - not necessarily for the balcony but because the rooms are larger and brighter. The pillows and blankets are not very good/comfortable. Only one free power plug in the bedroom + one in the bathroom. At peak restaurant times, the owner/service staff was sometimes quite stressed and reluctant to take orders or fill up a bottle with hot water (in the end they always did but it didn't make us as hotel guests very welcomed).

Good location. Attentive and warm staff that went out of their way to assist. Yasmina baked gluten free bread and made gluten free pizza from scratch. We had dinner at the property every night. The food is tasty, fresh and excellent portions.

Better pillows. Mix of firm and thin pillows and then soft pillows.

Wonderful family-run hotel. The staff was exceptionally warm and helpful. The restaurant was fantastic; nothing fancy, very good value and the meals were delicious. Kandersteg is a beautiful small village with great access to the mountains.

Good location, good breakfast, very friendly staff (who helpfully let us leave our bags the next day while we went up the cable car).

Balcony room had a sloping ceiling in the bathroom so you couldn’t stand up from the toilet without banging your head.

We traveled from Germany by train and had to change our staying plans two times due to the delays of the long-distance routes, the hotel owner was supportive to flex our check-in day and time (as long as there is an alternative available), and staffs are very friendly. Our room was small but comfortable with a beautiful mountain view. Breakfast was good, we also had delicious pizza for dinner in the downstair Pizzeria restaurant.

Nothing, really!

The Hotel Pension Spycher is a restaurant/pension typical of the region. The pension facilities are very basic but more than adequate. The price was wonderful, my single room was clean & spacious, and a bottle of water was provided. The twin bed double room my sisters shared was fine for them. Jasmine was a very kind and gracious host who was very helpful with bag storage and making sure we were comfortable. They have a nice restaurant with a varied menu that appeared popular with the locals. Our meals were delicious. Outside seating was very attractive and comfortable. My sister had particular dietary needs and the staff was so kind in helping her. We had to leave for an early train the next morning and were not able to be there for our breakfast--Jasmine provided a wonderful pre-packed meal for our journey. The Spycher is easy to find; about a five minute level walk from the train station.

Clean place, friendly and kind staff.

Very friendly staff greeted us late in the evening and even kindly offered a drink; very cozy and comfortable rooms; perfect location

The warm welcome of the owners, the view from the room on the mountains was exceptional, comfortable beds and linen.

Breakfast was minimalist, hardly any choice.

The host was friendly and the location.

Noise Simplicity Too expensive

Well located. Room was clean and perfectly adequate but not luxurious. Traditional Swiss house which was what we were expecting with nice garden to have dinner in. Good pizzas cooked to order. Hotel owner owner allowed us to take their towels to the swimming pool.

Little bit tricky to stop the water from coming out of the shower curtain. Small selection at breakfast despite being next door to the bakery. Children’s meals were pricey.
