We had a beautiful room overlooking the square with two big windows with a big bathroom. We were able to check in a little early with no problem. We enjoyed the roof terrace and the views of Quito and had a drink there in the evening and also had a very nice meal at the restaurant at night. The breakfast was excellent, it was a buffet with a wide variety of hot and cold foods. It had a separate menu for specially cooked breakfasts. The staff were helpful and accomodating and it was a great location in the historic area which felt very safe.

the food in the restaurant has gone down by a lot.

the room facing the plaza is by far over priced (double the price of a room facing the patio) one cannot open a window because of the noise and pollution

We loved the hotel, very nice room, big bathroom, comfy bed. The breakfast was amazing. And the hotel looks beautiful inside and outside. The stuff is very nice and helpful

Daniella at concierge was fantastic and Paula my massage therapist is a real gem!
Beer selection at the bar could have been better and certainly colder.

We enjoyed the class on chocolate run by the concierge and the massage at the spa.
The breakfast was pretty good as well.
The room was rather bare. Also, it was difficult to understand what services were available as averting was online. And some of the online information was not correct.

Beautiful hotel in a very central location to the Old Town. Delicious restaurant food, nice bar and overall very attentive staff and good service. Lobby filled with beautiful fresh Ecuadorian roses. Filtered water fountain in lobby is helpful.
Traffic to get in and out of this location can be crazy. we didn’t go to the TelepheriQo because we couldn’t face getting back into a cab after sitting in traffic for so long to arrive. We ordered a quite expensive box breakfast to take away and they put an open bottle of water into one of the bags (by accident we assume)

In general the hotel staff was very kind, extra helpful, the concierge Daniela, service genial!
the spa service, a lady Anita, she has the hands of god for massages.
Also they assist with the covid test, aa lab technician comes to the hotel and email you the results. Excellent service in this era of covid!

Casa Gangotina is unbelievable! Food is amazing, decorations are very tasteful. This is the best place I’ve stayed at and we travel frequently. We have been comparing it to Andez resort in Hawaii (hard to pick between them).
Breakfast is delicious. I ordered the trangillo (forgive my spelling) every day I was there…. Soooo good! The drinks at the bar are all great and I found their empanadas beyond perfect.
Only downside is that it is expensive, but there is nothing better than this place.
Ummmmm….. the a/c didn’t work? The weather was ideal so we really didn’t need it, but still couldn’t turn it on.

Casa Gangotena exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel is gorgeous, and beautifully maintained. The restaurant was excellent and the bar was also amazing. We literally have no complaints about our stay there and look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful hotel in the historic Centre of Quito. The perfect place to discover the city. The hotels offered complimentary chocolate tasting experience.
