This a very good hotel, located in a safe neighborhood near the Plaza de Lavalle and the Teatro Colón. You can get around on foot to all the major areas of the city (the Casa Rosada, Plaza de Mayo, Florida, 9 de julio and more. The people at the reception are very friendly and accommodating. The price of the hotel is very reasonable, even including the breakfast, which is $5 US dollars more or less for a smorgasbord.

Hotel was nice in a central place, staff were very friendly and room was clean!
Room and bathroom were quite dated and looked a bit grimey, however the room was clean and the daily service was very good.
WiFi strength wasn’t very good and always dropped out the further we got away from the corridor - which was the main bedroom

All members of staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We showed up very early for our check in, due to travel itinerary, and they still welcomed us very warmly and went ahead and assigned our room.

Up Viamonte Hotel is a great hotel right in the center of Buenos Aires, at a walkable distance to all of the attractions. Very cordial, friendly and helpful front desk staff. I cannot thank enough Alex and Ruben for their kindness and professional demeanor. Very comfortable bed and pillows. In the past I stayed at other area hotels and find that Up Viamonte is by far the best. Six-stars!

The staff was wonderful, specially Alexander. You can walk to many touristic places from there. However the place is really old. The elevators and corridors were very narrow. Two people would not fit there. In the bathroom there is not place to put your things. It was very uncomfortable for a family of three!!

What makes this hotel special is the really excellent English speaking staff, the most helpful we have ever encountered. Nothing too much trouble , very genuinely interested in helping in every way, special thanks to Manuel. Rooms clean and bright and relatively quiet. Breakfast is better than average. Stayed 3 nights, level of comfort wasgood value.

Hotel is close to Teatro Colon. The morning free walking tour starts there. The hotel is also close to all amenities. Walking distance to 9 de Julio, the widest road in Argentina and the Obelisco. 10 minute walk to Florida street. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the hotel resto is cheap (ARG126 or $6.00).

Extended our stay by 1 night due to Jan 1 holiday—leaving us wanting to sample and explore the city even more. The hotel was clean and comfortable although dated. I would recommend a room not facing Viamonte as noise could be an issue. The Viamonte Hotel is situated about two blocks from 09 Ave de Julio—-one of the main corridors through BA—with ample shopping, restaurants, parks, and theatres within a 15-20 minute walk. The staff was absolutely wonderful including the gentleman working late at night. He was always very helpful with information and directions. During the morning of checkout, the front desk arranged for a private car back to the airport.

an amazing apart Hotel! Staff was super helpful and have good English. He even gave us the metro card to put money on to get to La Boca easily. Location was close enough to walk to Casa de mayo and to Recoleta Cemetery. Bed and pillows very comfy. Room was large and clean, and everything worked!
