This place has really gone downhill. 4 night stay and NO housekeeping. Had to ask for fresh towels and the garbage was never emptied. Not worth saving money. There were stale muffins and no waffle batter the first morning for breakfast, and it only slightly improved over the weekend.

The building is very worn down. It was cold in the hallways. The heater did not work properly. Had it set to 80 and it was still cold in the room. Shower was dirty. Bathroom counter dirty. Room smelled musty. Only stayed bc it was late when we checked I. Did not get greeted by staff had to call 0 on the phone and then he came around in his socks. Not very professional.

I used to live in Cedar Falls and this hotel used to be all right. This place has gone really down hill. There is no money spent on upkeep much less upgrades. Breakfast was a joke. No coffee ever. Needs a complete overhaul from owner on down. Would rather take my chances in Waterloo than stay here again.

my room was very clean and mini split HVAC was very good.
HOWEVER I have a few negatives....
In spite of only 2-4 cars in the parking lot AND never seeing another person in the hall in a 2 day stay....I was told there were no rooms on the first floor, so lots of stairs and confusing halls....so IF you are older or have issues with mobility, check first
Also my remote for the TV did not work at all and manual turn on limited my choices to 3-10 channels
Coffee machine in room may have worked.....but part to hold coffee was missing.
I did housekeeping in a major hospital ER so small things catch my eye.....bathroom door mirror was quite dirty....Little things matter

There was no air conditioning. Very loud slamming doors . Breakfast was horrible selection . Dry cereal toast and waffles . No juice no coffee .

Not so good hallways hot see where things paint over and missed paint slects on furniture closet reack feel on own and bath tub terrible pictures deceiving breakfast stale no fruit

Talked out of reserved room for smaller bed. Smaller room at same price. Worst room condition but so tired from long drive to complain. Base moldings peeling off wall, smoke detector hanging by wires, worn carpet at bathroom entrance. Mirror on bathroom door moldy looking. Didn't sleep much and left early.

There was no modern features for charging my electronic items. I spent 4 days at this place and still haven’t seen any kind of house keeping.

The classic example of “you get what you pay for”. Room was not clean with small hairs on the edge of the tub, and don’t expect the man at the desk to want to give you any help whatsoever if you have a problem. Stay here at your own risk.

Good location. Room was okay. However bathroom was dirty and tub was dirty and drain was broken. Staff came into my room while I was out to dinner and took the AC controller. Side by side Rooms share an AC, because I turned it off and the other room wanted it on the remote was removed from my room. Staff member that entered my room felt no explanation was needed. When I asked for the remote back so I could manage the room temp, I was given attitude.

One of our beds was broken and tipped when sat on the end. There was no ice at the hotel. The juice machine was not working.

The bed was a queen size and my wife and I rolled to the middle. It was kind of uncomfortable to keep trying to get back to the side of the bed.

Absolutely disgusting! All they did was make the beds and spray some fabreeze. The floors, bedding, counters and fixtures were so dirty and gross. It looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The mirror, doors and walls were disgusting. There’s also paint chips and speckles on everything. The ironing board had smeared boogers on it. The desk, dresser and nightstand had dried sticky residue. This place deserves 0 stars. I even found mouse poop. The check-in staff was sitting in the lobby on his phone when I arrived. I greeted him first and was at the counter before he even stood up. He said nothing at all, didn’t even explain breakfast times or anything at all. It was also noisy as heck!! You could hear the TV and people in the next rooms until almost 3am. For a place that has 300 rooms and not many guests you could at least clean a freaking room and space out people. DONT STAY HERE.

Room was overall dirty. Air conditioner dripped water all over the desk and floor. Floor was wet. Front desk staff wasn’t concerned. Wouldn’t give us a different room or refund, only a couple towels. Would not recommend this location.

absolutely awful. They expect an extra 100 upfront. Ontop of it the ac stopped working and the hair dryer almost caught on fire.

Room was just not clean, Sink and tub looked terrible, drywall crumbling's around door jambs, baseboards hanging loose,, Place use to be nice but its not being maintained anymore, will never stay there again

Good price. Very close to the Falls Aquatic center. We just needed a place to lay our heads after long hot days in the sun. Nothing fancy, but met our needs.

The room smelled like urine and smelled horrible all through the night... if it were not so late when we checked in we would have canceled and gone somewhere else. It smelled terrible all through the hotel. The check-in guy came out with no shoes on at all... and then took my driver's license and credit card out and around the desk making his way to a hotel room around the corner to ask some lady something and I kinda followed him cuz I didn't know what he was doing with both my cards. Will not stay there EVER again... The beds were okay and clean but the room really needed a lot of work and renovations...

Would not accommodate our mistake after only 5 minutes which it took us to realize that the hotel was not in the state we requested.

Smoke detector was laying behind the tv and of course not working. No 'do not disturb' door hanger. No tv guire which made it hard for an out of towner to find anything to watch. Top of toilet did not fit right. No Bible, pen or paper.

Staff so kind. Bed comfy. Breakfast good. Check in great.
Needs a better up keep-a lot of small things unattended to that distracted. (Paint touch ups, worn/torn carpet, and a few corners could have been cleaner) Well stay again as we are only there to sleep and then have breakfast a couple nights.

Always feel safe in Cedar Falls. TV was very unreliable. Not staffs fault at all but perhaps Direct TV should not be their carrier.

Move to other room much nicer. 2nd room A.C. didn't work well. Paint chips in bathroom and sink. Rust and what looked like mold in bathroom. Had to bring in fan to cool room.T.V. was about to fall off cabinet. Took pictures.

There’s no way a hotel like this should have a $100 deposit to stay there. I could see if it was the holiday inn or something but absolutely not this place and the lady at the front desk wasn’t very helpful

The room was dirty. There was screws sticking out of the sheet rock. I am allergic to cockroaches. They have them there. I woke up could hardly breathe because I didn't know they had them. I got sick and had to cancel what I went there to do. They won't give me my money back so I could change motels. I am stuck with a second booking there which I won't be able to use because of the cockroach problem. I didn't dear eat the breakfast because of the bugs. I have photos but this app won't let me load them for some reason. Ugh

Upon checking in and getting to my first room, it was dirty. Like someone had just left. Then I get to my 2nd room which was clean at least. I found a roach in my bathroom and tried to show the front desk. They told me I was lying because they had never had them before. She was not very accommodating.

We checked out after we checked in. The rooms we disgusting. The was vomit on the carpet, dirty towels in the bathroom, sink and tables were FILTHY.

The location was great, everything else was definitely not. Our room was filthy. There were candy wrappers laying on the floor, earrings, and even a pair of underwear. There was something smeared on the walls in the bathroom and every corner had hair and dirt. The television didn't work and the refrigerator was completely full of mold. It should've been my warning when they were only five other vehicles in the whole parking lot.

Counter staff was friendly but hotel is run down. Bathtub floor was soft and you could feel water squishing under it. Had to prop the drain open with a shampoo bottle while showering so the tub could drain. Condition of the bathroom was awful. There were paint splatters all over the tiled floor area.
