Amazing. kind staff and quick to respond

This was the last minute reservation on a unplanned trip. Reservations were quick and easy. The property was wonderful. I love the room and especially the bed. The front desk staff was awesome. I think this will be a repeat visit next time I'm in town.

Not a pleasant check in! We were tired from our travel and instead of an easy check in after I paid full price online I had to to use my card for a deposit that was charged and not refunded after being told after checkout it would be refunded right away. Signing paperwork and being asked a million questions. Previous hotels I’ve stayed did not require all of this. The bathroom was dirty and had bonding patches on the tub, walls were dirty and shower mat ripped along with holes in the wall and no lock on the bedroom door which was taken out.

Same continental breakfast every day it was sausage and eggs every day, and instead of having indoor individual cartons of milk, they had a pitcher Which made a difficult for my granddaughter to serve herself and she spilled the milk. The hallway carpets were filthy and needs to be updated. It was a good location overall.

Didn’t have hot water when we first got there but the front desk staff informed us it would be back on before the end of the night. They even called our room to let us know the hot water was back on. Will be staying here again in the future.

Everything was perfect..staff was very helpful and professional.

Safe area

During my stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Modesto Salida on June 25th, 2024, I checked in at 11 p.m. Only AFTER I was charged the full hotel fee and signed all appropriate paperwork, I was told that there was no hot water. Even worse, I called the hotel to tell them my check-in time earlier in the evening, when they were well aware of the issue and could have informed me in time to book another hotel. However, this information was mysteriously omitted. At check in, I was told the hot water would be restored by the morning. At this point, it was too late in the evening to find another hotel, and I had already been charged for my stay. Despite being covered from head to toe in sand from a day at the beach, I decided to suck it up and shower in the morning. However, the hot water was NOT restored in the morning. It is unacceptable for a mid-range chain hotel to lack hot (or even lukewarm) water. I reported the unresolved issue to the hotel staff upon checkout and was offered an extremely limited refund. I continued to seek a greater refund for this terrible experience, which significantly impacted my stay, to be met with the following response: “Regarding your recent stay, unfortunately, we are unable to offer to you an additional refund. -Jan Zemola, AGM” If you are looking to stay somewhere close to Yosemite, which was the purpose of my stay, El Capitan Hotel in Merced is AMAZING and recommend.

This was a nice quiet property. The staff were nice and the facility was clean. I always appreciate cleanliness overall.

The hotel common areas and the rooms are nice. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. However, we checked in after a long day of hiking and were not told that the hotel did not have any hot water. After the first cold shower, I called the front desk and they said “Sorry, no hot water until early tomorrow morning.” At this point we were unpacked and exhausted so the rest of us took quick cold showers thinking we’d get a hot one after our morning workouts. The next morning at 10:30 AM, there was still NO hot water. I spoke to the lady at the front desk and all she had to say was “Stuff happens.” She offered no resolution, no discount and no help at all. I told her that I felt we should have been told before paying for a room that did not have hot water. I am extremely disappointed in the way the hotel handled this situation. They had plenty of time to inform me and offer to cancel and refund the room so I could find alternative lodging but they chose not to do so, which tells me they do not care about their customers. I will not recommend La Quinta and I won’t be staying with them in the future because of their lack of concern. My other issue is that after paying for the room in full, they take a $100 deposit that still hasn’t fallen off my credit card even though I was told it had been refunded. So, if you stay here and have any issue, do not expect a resolution or compassion from them.

I was scared in the beginning to stay at La Quinta because of my experience with other hotels from them. But this one was overall amazing. They did a fast check in, and the room was very clean and was quiet no noise. The air conditioning felt amazing as well. The only thing that was bad was the parking.

We were told there was no hot water but they should have it fixed by tonight. It’s almost 10PM and still no hot water.

Very nice clean hotel in a great location. Only complaint is there isn’t a single usb or type c outlet anywhere in the room so being wall plugs.

The Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The room was clean and comfortable. It looked like it had recently been updated. The bed was comfortable. Everything I look for was present such as in room safe, refrigerator, large screen TV, wifi. The parking was plentiful, there are several dining options within walking distance, the included breakfast was good. We made use of the pool and spa and the guest laundry. This was a really good place to stay for the purposes of this trip and I will stay here again when visiting the area.

The staff is so welcoming and warm upon entering the Inn. I had questions and they were answered quickly. I recommend this Inn to everyone at every opportunity when they ask me where to stay.
