It was a great location!

Overall, this is a nice enough hotel. It is attractive, the rooms are clean and pleasant, the rooftop bar is a nice plus. But the noise, noise, noise from the road that is literally just feet outside your window if you have a bay view room is unbelievable. And the hotel claims the road construction does not go on during the night -- UNTRUE!! We stayed here Aug 25-27 and we endured a backhoe breaking up concrete and loading it into trucks from 2 am to 5 am just 20 feet outside our window. Like having a garbage truck unloading dumpsters full of rocks all night long outside your window!! And even when that isn't going on, there's the constant whine of traffic whizzing by all hours of the night just outside your window. If you stay here, DO NOT GET A BAY VIEW -- and they even have the nerve to charge extra for it! Our friends in another room had to request keys to a room on the other side of the hotel in the middle of the night because it was so bad.

Hotel stay was fine.

Nice property and good dining. Valet was not optional and an unexpected expense. The air conditioner in the room was so noisy we couldn’t sleep.

Hotel is fine by my very picky standards and was clean...my biggest priority.

Construction

Communication is a problem. They say they will contact you about problems and never do. They had major construction going on right outside their bay front rooms that wasn't communicated. (They start at 7am). If I had known this, I wouldn't have booked. Not even if the room was free. They said they had it posted on the website, but admitted you could easily miss it. Another couple we met, was furious, as they also said there was no posting about it, and when communicated were also ignored with no resolve. The rooms are not inexpensive, their communication & resolutions for problems non existent, and transparency poor. Even the location was not worth this last stay for us, and I am still waiting for a call that was promised last week. We have not gotten our invoice, as promised via email, because they wanted to make sure what was promised would be delivered. I am not holding my breath. We will not be staying here again despite the great location. It's just too poorly managed for the $$$$.

Good hotel for price

For the price of our room we had a view of the air conditioning equipment. Our reservation was made 3 months ago. Paid $500 a night and should have had a better room.

Excellent staff; clean rooms; great rooftop bar/restaurant. The location is on the bay adjacent to a busy road--unfortunately they missed this in the design of the windows. VERY noisy irrespective of traffic density (read: hard to sleep). The television system is about as good as something out of the 70’s (albeit with a big screen). Very annoying to navigate the simplest functions. Overall good hotel (though pricey) but could be so much better.

Rooms are large and clean. Staff is very helpful. Parking is $18 per day. No breakfast of any kind provided unless you pay extra. TV is impossible to work without calling for help. Staff member explained management just installed a new system, and NO ONE understands it. No microwave. Between parking and breakfast for 2, add about $50 per day to your room rate. We stayed Bay Side, and although the view is nice, the hotel is RIGHT ON the road. Very noisy. They do provide a noise machine in each room.

Everyone was fantastic - from the front desk to the valet!

Everything was great except that the required valet parking at $18 per day was mentioned nowhere in the reservation details - not in Expedia nor in the Indigo Inn materials. It was explained by the valet parking attendant as we arrived. Had that requirement been explained ahead of time, I would have rated this experience as a 5 and not a 3. We have stayed at two Indigo Inns in Indiana and both had free parking so this was a surprise.

Upscale property. Walkable to beach and downtown. Only drawback is the bay view room I was in was too noisy due to traffic noise on street below.

Spacious room. My wife loved the walk in shower. Across the street from Lake Michigan and the TART trails (which we greatly utilized). Liked the bike racks in front of the hotel. The terrace restaurant with its view in the lake was wonderful. Great breakfasts.

Bayview rooms are right on top of the major lakefront highway so traffic noise was terrible. Rooms are furnished simply. Too expensive for the location and quality. Rooftop bar is great, but stay somewhere else.

Absolutely hated the valet parking situation. We like to be in and out a bit and it was really inconvenient. Felt like we were a bother to the staff.

The room was not automatically cleaned. We had to request maid service. Other than that, the staff and facility were great.

It's a very attractive qnd modern property. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious and modern. The lobby 8s welcoming, the food is good, the staff is friendly and professional. The roof top bar is fantastic.

Great hotel with nice location across from the bay. Beautiful views from room and roof terrace. Very nice rooms. The only thing to be aware is that there is plenty of vehicle trafic around and it does get loud. We were on 3rd floor facing the bay

Stayed several days here in the off season as we explored the local area. The bed was much too soft and left us with some aches at the start of each day. The coffee and bar was more bar than coffee much to my disappointment. Hidden fee with the valet service which was about $20.00 per/day to access their parking garage. No parking space around the hotel unless you wanted to navigate the parking meters. The hotel is right on the main road around the bays which could be noisy at times, but it is conveniently located in walking distance to downtown. Room itself was great but would benefit from better lighting. Walk-in shower was a welcome addition. It was a fair experience, but not sure I would stay there again until the problems mentioned are resolved. Staff were helpful and friendly though.

Easy check in, clean, spacious, well appointed rooms with great views of the lake!

I enjoyed the view of the bay from our room. I liked that it was close to downtown, so very walkable and the staff was very friendly.

No room service available. AC unit was very loud. Anniversary trip and was given 2 queen bed room and we were able to switch to a king after the first night. First room was so loud the whole night we could barely sleep. Everyone at front desk really nice just disappointed with room quality and no room service. Seems like hotel is understaffed but still great service and delicious food. TV’s in both rooms did not work properly. Volume was going up and down and the remotes would not connect. Also valet service is about $18 a day, was not aware of that.

Great location, clean, loved the valet parking, nice restaurant and bar. It was the perfect place to round out our date night.

started with the guy saying if I didnt use valet parking the police would ticket me for parking on street at night--we didnt get a ticket I signed up for full service and never had my room cleaned-I even went down after first night and asked again bathroom shower had globs of hair in it

The hotel was very nice. Fantastic views of Grand Traverse Bay. The hotel team were exceptional. From the time I pulled in to the time I checked out I experienced excellent service.
