Nice friendly owners.

Perfect for our one night stay. Friendly hosts, clean and comfortable room and situated a short walk from the town. Close to area attractions. Lovely breakfast; great choice with plenty of fruit and a vegetarian cooked meal was our choice to set us up for the day.

Only stayed a night while passing through but Great hosts, very welcoming and provided some great local knowledge for sights and places to eat.

We stayed one night on a cycling holiday and were very comfortable. Sue and Steve have a lovely guest house. The room was quiet and nice, and Sue helped us store our bikes in a secure shed in the garden. Our room had a large bath and sink, as well as a four-poster bed--quirky and fun.

I thought I had booked bed and breakfast but breakfast was not included, documentation from Expedia did not mention this.

This is not a b&b its a home away from home..the rooms are beautiful,clean and comfy,anything we needed was provided and nothing was too much to ask for,thanks for making us feel so at home we absolutly love it here and its been a pleasure to get to know you all and share a cheeky chinese! Quiet, pleasant,nicely located in lovely setting. Easy walk to village amenities.

Sue & Steve were really lovely & greeted us when we arrived. The room was lovely & had recently had the addition of a gorgeous Victorian style bath which was lovely to relax in after our evening walk. Toilet was separate to the bedroom but this wasn’t an issue for us. We had breakfast which was delicious (breakfast was an extra charge). Shortly after we arrived we decided to go for a walk & Sue gave us some advice about local landmarks including Ruthven Barracks. The location is beautiful & we enjoyed our walk around the village & to the barracks. I’d love to go back again. Very friendly hosts, lovely guest house in a beautiful location.

Room was clean and tidy. Beds comfortable. Breakfasts amazing both days.

We had a good stay. But thought the price was a little expensive without breakfast not included.

We really enjoyed our stay, Sue & Steve were very welcoming, friendly, room was very comfortable and spacious, rooms have all you need whether your staying 1 night or more. would certainly recommend Avondale House.

Very small room and no bathroom attached. We were running late and couldn’t call the hotel as the phone was not working.
