this property is in a great location

We loved the condo so much. It was the perfect location and the ocean front lanai was surreal!! The condo was adequately stocked for all our needs and the resort amenities for excellent. Mahalo and we will be back!!

There was a notice posted at the building that from May 8th to May 31st the elevator would not be in service. Our check in was May 18th to May 23rd. The Owner (Huma) or the Manager did not notify us of no elevator service to our 2nd floor apartment. We are Seniors and booked it primarily for the convenience of an elevator. On arrival we had our luggage and groceries with us at the building in a cart provided by the resort, but discovered NO elevator. It would have been courteous of the Owner or the Manager to notify us in advance, since they had to know it was not in service during our stay. The Owner at first declared he did not know the elevator was broken, then texted he thought it would be fixed by the time we arrived. We booked over a month prior to our check in date. I was disappointed in the Owner being less than honest with us. The apartment was in a wonderful location with a great ocean breeze and comfortable even though there was no air conditioning in the unit. The only real negative about the apartment itself was my husband felt the mattress was too soft and woke up with backaches. No fault of the unit, the apartment above was very noisy with scrapping of furniture on apparently bare floors. Despite these minor difficulties we had a wonderful 5 night stay and enjoyed the location and wonderful view.

This property is well taken care of, despite the salty ocean breezes trying to attack anything that is metal. All bldgs have an elevator but ours broke down about 3 days after we arrived and they are still working on it as we left. Thankfully we are only on the 2nd floor so not an issue. Our unit was furnished well and was more than adequate for our needs including wifi and cable. The kitchen had everything one would need. You don't miss not having a/c with the constant ocean breeze and the ceiling fans. The bathtub and sink drains run slowly but we will be mentioning that at checkout to management. All in all...a lovely experience that we would repeat!! Mahalo, Huma, for allowing us to share your lovely place!!

Ideal location on the island. Close to everything you could need. Waking up to the view was amazing, but be prepared to have everyone on the bike path get a view of you as well. The walls are semi thin, I think I just got unlucky with neighbors that had loud voices. Unit was clean and had necessities stocked.

Very central location making it easy to visit North and South of beautiful Kawai. The on-site playgrounds are fun and all equipment is available at the pool area (tennis racquets, putter, etc.). Beach chairs and cooler are available in the studio which is very useful. Right in front is a very nice beach good for swimming and there is natural shade from the trees near the beach. Bike and walk path in front of the ocean is great! Restaurants and markets are situated nearby. The sunrise is amazing and makes nice pictures.

We loved the awesome ocean view we had from our balcony. Everything was provided that you could possibly need. No need for A/C, as there was always a breeze to keep the unit cool. The resort also has many games and equipment that you can use free of charge. Walking distance to so many places.

Every thing was as expected…however the noise from the unit above was troublesome. Location was fabulous!

Great condo well decorated but on the second floor and the people on the 3rd floor must have been holding a barn dance every day or there is no carpet on their floor so we got to hear every tine the scooted a chair around Not real nice

The location was great, but unfortunately the people staying above us we extemely noisy which was annoying. They had small children who spend a great deal of time running around and moving furniture. The resort was beautiful and conveniently located. The bedroom got a little warm at night and the vent in the bathroom needed a good cleaning. Everyone else was very clean though. Host and property manager were great; very responsive to questions, issues. Appreciated enough supplies available for length of our stay(a month) instead of just enough for few days. Amazing views of ocean right from our condo included sunrises, watching fishing boats go out, kite surfers, seabirds diving for fish, seal swimming along our shoreline, whales(with use of binoculars). Used kitchen quite a bit and found it to be well-stocked. Did not rent a car and did just fine w/o one. Used Speedi shuttle between airport and condo, walked entire path in front of condo, used bus($1 each for seniors). Using bus to go to Hanalei especially good choice as very crowded and difficult to find parking there. Tours that pick and drop off at Pono Kai available. 5 minute walk to farmers market on Wednesday for fruits and veggies… Only issue was carpet next to sliding door has gotten damp so often that bothered my allergies but I’m sure new owner will be taking care of issues like this. (I used box fan to blow across carpet from inside to outside which helped).

Everything was better than we hoped for. Great location, great view, great condo! Air flow through condo was great. Only needed a fan in our bedroom twice and that was during the day. Lots of extras: beach chairs, umbrella and cooler than we used. Snorkeling supplies and kids toys as well. Kitchen had everything needed, including bonus Kauai coffee! Fridge was huge and the ice maker in it was great! The binoculars were a nice touch, so watching the whales and surfers was even better. For those that needed it, the TV was good with a lot of channels. Wi-fi worked very well. My only worry is that it will be booked up before we can get our flight plans are done for next year! We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed spending our time, whether relaxing on our balcony or down at the beach, walking a few blocks to restaurants, food trucks, or stores, or preparing meals in the kitchen or at nearby grills.

We had a lovely stay. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The resort had nice facilities we could use. The condo is almost directly on the beach. Good food and nice shops were just a few minutes walk away in kapaa.

This condo is perfectly located. Loved being right next to the ocean, close to the laundry facilities, close to the grills, close to the pool, walking distance to a little town shopping and food strip. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed during our stay. There were nice beach chairs and a cooler for us to use. The beds were comfortable. check in was super easy and the staff was super friendly. The complex has activities for the kids like ping pong, connect 4 and jenga and more. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

Very responsive host. Can’t beat the view. Great overall value.

Fantastic location. Pono Kai a great spot to visit Kapaa and easy to go north to explore Northshore and South to shop Lihue and beaches on south shore like Poipu. Condo has all the amenities you need for a family of 4. Kitchenware was fully stocked and the Lion's coffee was a nice touch in arrival. There was a slight hiccup with key and code access but was resolved promptly. Pull out sofa could get some attention. Will look forward to the next stay! Thank you for having us!
