Vila Colina is the most gorgeous traditional style villa just outside Carveiro in Sesmarias Country Club. We are a family of 8 adults & didn't want to hire a car the whole time so we relied on the super efficient taxi service to get us down the 5 mins journey to Carveiro or 45 mins walking. The Villa is exactly as on the website. 1 spacious double room with huge en-suite on the ground floor, a single room next door with a separate bathroom. Upstairs to the very large double room with access to a terrace and en-suite, 1 single room and 1 twin room that share a bathroom. Bathrooms are a little bit tired but fully functional. Worth noting there is no a/c in the single rooms, there are ceiling fans and a plug in a/c unit which doesn't really make much of a difference when it's 32 degrees. The pool and outside space is fabulous. Pool is beautiful and big! There's a box with inflatables, pool toys and pumps. There are lots of different areas to eat in or or to find some space. Pete's Bar is fantastic, it has 2 outdoor fridges and a lovely seating area. The house and kitchen comes with every utility item you could possibly need. I have stayed in villa's where there is a stocked pantry with herbs, sauces, oil, vinegar, tin foil etc which comes in really handy. Considering every visitor will have to buy the same items and then dispose of. The best surprise for me was the view and those glorious sunsets. I would definitely recommend and definitely stay again.

We booked this villa as a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 children). I can honestly say it is the best villa we have ever stayed in. The villa itself feels like you are at home, every small detail has been thought of and it feels so safe and comfortable. There are books, games and dvds available in the lounge to keep the kids entertained when they are not in the pool! The pool area is amazing, Plenty of places to lounge in the sun and shade and Pete’s bar was fantastic for a cold beer as you watch the sun go down in the evening. The view from there is absolutely breathtaking. The cleaning team and gardeners visited a few times during our stay and were lovely and did a superb job. The kids loved the pool, it is a fantastic size and perfect depth for families with small children in fact two of our little ones learned to swim while we were there. There are 3 supermarkets within 15 mins drive and two local restaurants about 10 mins walk but I would recommend a hire car for this property so you can visit the neighbouring towns and the water parks. The villa itself is set in a lovely area and is very quiet at night so you always get a good nights sleep. All in all I would rate this villa 5 stars, the pictures just do not do it justice. Peter the owner is extremely helpful and always responds immediately with any questions or queries. We have already booked to go back next year and explore some more of this beautiful island and wouldn’t stay anywhere other than Vila Colina!

Great villa with all the amenities needed for a quality stay at this villa. The pool is huge that catered for 7 people at a time easily with all the pool inflatables. Plenty of space around the villa to dine/chill out. An easy 25min walk/stroll to Carvoeiro town and €7 taxi back. Highly recommend this villa and the host Stefanie was excellent and communicated very well with us. Our group was 4 adults and 3 children and this villa catered for us all.

Beautiful Villa in more of a residential area with everything you could need. Pool area amazing and well used by the children. Cleaning and changing of towels etc fantastic. Two restaurants are in walking distance and a handy little shop for everyday fresh bread etc. Would recommend the area as close to beautiful little beaches, water park, and general sight seeing activities.

We had a weeks stay in this beautiful villa, it was absolutely stunning, very spacious, the views were amazing. There was lots of seating areas outside. Had everything you needed for a holiday, from lots of utensils, plates, glasses very well stocked to pool towels too. The pool was awesome with lots of pool toys and inflatables. This villa really does have everything, great location, supermarket just up the road and slide and splash water park only 7 mins away. This is the best villa we have stayed in. Stephanie greeted us and check in was smooth and communication with her was excellent and she was on hand if we needed her. we had the best time away and will definitely be booking again next year. We were 6 friends from university that haven't seen each other for almost 3 years so we have decided to do something bold and rent a villa. Our expectations for the place were high but no doubt the choice of this place exceeded them all! We found villa Colina and after a few messages with Stefanie we were convinced that this is our place. She was a wonderful host, friendly, flexible and always smiling! On the time of arrival everything was 10/10, clean, fresh and much more beautiful than the pictures - we are already recommending the place to other friends. Stefanie even allowed us to check out later due to our evening flights (there was no overlap with another reservation on the same day) - amazing service! The house has plenty of space inside and outside. Many areas for relaxation, stunning views of the mountains, small villages around and the sea. The sunset there is one of the best to have while relaxing on the pool! The villa was loaded with everything a person could need, high level facilities with clean and new amenities. We came with 2 cars and had plenty of space to park them in the backward and around the villa. The stay was supported by a friendly maid who came twice a week together with a pool maintenance team to keep up the pool and house fresh. Nothing more a person could need for such place! Do not think twice and book it - you won't regret any minute there. Thank you Stefanie!

Check In process/contact with Property Manager was smooth and very quick to respond, even allowed early check-in due to property being vacant/ready. Pool is unbelievable, Stunning views and option to heat pool was great with kids. Garden area is very well kept and fits perfectly in with the views, another reason it feels so relaxing and quite. Property itself is spacious and clean, maid is very nice & comes daily, a nice touch. Lots of en-suite/bathrooms if a larger group, including the recently added downstairs rooms/bathrooms which are amazing! Plenty of outside seating areas/terraces for evenings, including a nice outdoor kitchen/bar to sit & watch the sunset. Within 10-20 minute drive of so many amazing towns and beaches, really is a great location if you have hire a car. A few restaurants walkable/short drive, that do sit-in or takeaways including our favourite - Luisa’s! Do no hesitate to book if you have found this property, you won’t be disappointed!
