The location is amazing, we had an amazing time. The living room is big, it could have more lights. The host was nice, they accommodate our requests super well! We were there at the beginning of March with my family, and the weather was just lovely. We could use the outdoor Jacuzzi which was really cool!

This villa must have been beautiful in the past but right now it's in dire need of renovations. Some lightbulbs were not working, the awning was half-broken, there was no outdoor heating (unlike in the photos) and some other changes. Overall, it would be a really nice place if the owners were keeping the house in good condition.

The villa itself was nice. It looks like at some point ( when those pictures were taken, years ago) it really WAS a luxury villa. It has a breathtaking view over the lake and the yard is very big. It has a functioning jacuzzi. It is big and has plenty of bedrooms and the kitchen is fully stocked. The steam shower was a very big plus on a cold rainy day at the lake. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The gated driveway is also very nice. Check in was seamless and easy.

As mentioned above, at some point, years ago, the villa WAS luxury and beautiful. Currently, however, it is in need of some minor renovations. The outdoor area was the biggest disappointment. We spent 3 nights in April at the villa and it looks like it hadn't been brought out of its winter slumber for the guests. All the garden furniture was stacked away and not usable ( unless you wanted to put the work in and set it all up yourself), the outdoor swing disassembled, the PRIVATE PIER was disassembled and stacked at the edge of the property blocking the beautiful view to the lake, resembling the sight of a construction. The shed was locked up until May 15th ( the owner let us know about it upon request AFTER THE FACT that we booked it thinking we would enjoy a beautiful sunset on a private pier and water sport facilities would be available on site, according to the listing, which wasn't available to us). The porch rocker was apparently missing a screw and fell apart when our daughter started using it. An aluminum bar fell off and hit her on her nose. Fun! Our entire family got a nice hot tub rash from a bacterial infection because the hot tub wasn't properly maintained and it had no directions on how to properly condition the water after use to prevent such a bacterial infection. No Blech was found in the house. Maybe it was in the locked shed. The awning outdoor is falling apart as well and needs attention. Upon arrival I needed to sweep the floor because it wasn't as clean as expected. More than half of the beds were not very comfortable. It was a disappointment and our family made the best of our stay there and still had an all-things-considered good time. Now we are dealing with a skin rash that is very pesky. I understand that we arrived at Lake Balaton out of season. But if the property has not yet been set up for guests, then it shouldn't have received guests. Or at the very least, mentioned it on the listing (!!!!
