We love staying here with our families. This is our 4th summer in a row and I don’t see us stopping! They have everything you would need in the kitchen and the beach which makes it the perfect beach house stay!

Lovely home with charm and history. Spacious property with games, books, beach toys and a well stocked kitchen. Our kids and grandkids throughly enjoyed our week at 6 St. Malo.

We stayed for my nephews wedding in Carlsbad. There were 11 of us. The house is so spacious and unique. The courtyard full of flowers. The ocean breeze and sound of the waves were fantastic. We recommend this wonderful home. We will think of coming back for sure.

Lela and Nadia were so helpful and kind. The house worked great as a place for family to come and go the week of my sons wedding. Open space for people to relax and the kitchen was glorious. We love to cook and entertain and we had everything we needed to keep the family group happy. Just a few steps away was the cabana and volleyball net which kept the younger ones occupied. Most of the rooms are adjoined and because its an older house, some rooms got colder than others but each room had the perfect amount of glorious bedding and a comforter thickness that suited each bedrooms temp. I love details. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Lela!

We love this house for our extended family of 10 - the view is amazing/ the house has a place for everyone- awesome kitchen! Clean ! Very comfortable furnishings! We just love it on every level!

great place to stay!

This our 3rd time staying at the house and it’s always such a treat for everyone to be in this special place. A well loved family home with so much history & charm and situated right on the ocean, make you feel like you’ve been transported to another era. We’ll keep coming back !

The home’s neighborhood of St Malo has history going back to the 1920’s and is rumored to be the first gated neighborhood in San Diego. It is modeled after an old French village and feels like you’ve been transported to another place and time. There are 3rd generation families with prominent last names with homes here. We loved the vibe of the house itself - it is old but not forgotten or left to deteriorate. We spent most of our time at the beach. The kids loved the Sandy backyard and there were lots of toys provided. We also enjoyed walking the neighborhood and admiring each home, the lush landscaping, the bunnies running around, and the various birds such as pelicans and blue herons. There is a private community beach area as well with steps to the beach. During our stay the tide was up so far that there was no beach to walk unfortunately. We were hoping we would be able to walk the beach to Carlsbad and into the village but Mother Nature wasn’t on our side. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and we did a lot of Uber Eats. One thing we noticed is that 90% of the neighborhood was empty. We only saw a couple of people, and the guard occasionally passed in his golf cart. It was remarkable to stay at the beach during a weekend and have it be so calm and quiet. While just up the road in Carlsbad we could see plenty of action. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Overall, we’ve never experienced a place like St Malo. Highly recommended!
