La recamara estaba limpia, la cama era comoda. El baño muy espacioso y contaban con ducha. Un ambiente muy tranquilo. El desayuno fue genial, es muy completo. Me volveria a hospedar sin duda alguna.

La amplitud y limpieza de la cocina gracias a su constante mantenimiento, las instalaciones en general con pequeña zona recreativa, la atención y servicialidad del personal siempre dispuestos ayudar hacen que este sea uno de los mejores hostales en los que me he hospedado.

Muy buen barrio y muy buena atención

El personal que trabaja allí nos ayudó mucho con la resolución de las dudas que nos surgían. Por otro lado, el desayuno que ofrecen está muy bien, y tiene un gran espacio para cocinar y para comer. La habitación era muy amplia.

Sumaria más baños/duchas, ya que se queda corto para tantas personas.

Casa Escalante ha sido como un hogar para mí, me he alojado en numerosas ocasiones durante los últimos meses y siempre he tenido una experiencia excelente. Es un hostel con mucho encanto, bien cuidado y limpio. El trato por parte del personal es inmejorable, en concreto Frederick me ha dado facilidades y ayuda en todo momento y estoy sumamente agradecida por ello. 100% recomendado, si vuelvo a San José sin duda me alojaré allí de nuevo.

Cuando llegue no sabían de mi reserva, y me dijeron que el parqueo que ya había reservado no estaba disponible Aparte de no solucionar, la opción que me dieron fue que si no me gustaba me podía ir Pese a que reservé con más de una semana de antelación además de mencionar y confirmar el parqueo el mismo día que reservé

Super Lage im Barrio Escalante / Studentenviertel, sehr sichere Umgebung, freundliches Personal, super bequemes Bett.

Sauberkeit hätte besser sein können, die Ausstattung ist teilweise schon sehr runter gerockt und die Gemeinschaftbäder wenig ansprechend. Alles in allem aber für eine Nacht völlig in Ordnung.

Me Hospedé dos noches, mi estancia fue agradable y me sentí seguro en el hostel, el personal que labora en él siempre amables y con la predisposición de ayudar en lo que uno necesite. De seguro volveré a visitarlos !

War in der low season dort und alleine im Dorm - es war alles sauber und die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Nachts ist es leise und das Frühstück ist für den Preis super. Habe das Hostel für meine letzte Nacht direkt wieder gebucht. Alle sind, obwohl sie nicht wirklich englisch sprechen super freundlich!

The hostel is in a great location. Barrio Escalante is the best choice, a safe place and close to the center. The common areas are beautiful and large, the kitchen very well equipped. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the showers have hot water. The owner is a wonderful person, always available to help. I've been to several hostels in San José and this one is the best. Thank you for everything Casa Escalante Hostel.

Property is great. Super clean. All the staff is super friendly. They helped me plan my journey and told me where to go and stay away from. Location is also pretty central. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in Costa Rica

Everything was clean and well-organized spatially. They clean everything every day throughoutly and they put attention to details. It cannot gj unnoticed! They really take care of the entire hostel and everything is maintained with great care. The only thing that falls short is their complaint handling. Breakfast was excellent, continental style. Basic ingredients, but you can create very good things from them. The heart of Escalante - the location is very good, but I recommend avoiding the surroundings of Hostel TripOn because it's a gathering place for all kinds of undesirable activities involving illegal substances and shady hobos and crackheads. The great thing is that it's close to the Legislative Assembly, Barrio Chino, Mall San Pedro, and Parque Francia. You can walk to everything, even the buses are unnecessary! The hotel is well-maintained, and Frederick and Marta are very friendly people, providing excellent service.

The only thing that bothers me is their complaint system. Someone made up complete nonsense about me, claiming that I left a mess and made noises at night. I want to clarify that I didn't leave any mess because I always cleaned up after myself (sometimes even after others!). I left the workspace clean. I also didn't make any noises at night because I'm not a night owl, but rather a journalist and international business investor. However, I only spoke with partners during the day. My only sin is that I worked until 3-4 in the morning and was the last one out of bed, while others didn't wash the dishes, left a mess, and giggled loudly at night like complete imbeciles. This is my only complaint and what weighs on my soul. It's honest and constructive criticism. I hope Frederick reads it, draws conclusions, and improves their verification system for determining the validity of other complaints and the decision to reject people. When I have a reservation in the only place and I pay for a taxi to get there, it greatly complicates my life when they don't admit me to the hostel where I previously had only good experiences and naturally want to return. Especially considering that I was robbed and every penny was precious to me. I spent money on a taxi to Casa Escalante and then another one to a friend's house in Moravia and, as we all know, Costa Rica is extremely expensive...
