The neighborhood. The supermarket is very close.

Dirty bathrooms and dirty in general. Inconfortable bed. Horrible light in the dorm. AC is very noisy.

This is a comfortable, friendly hostel located in a quiet neighborhood. Good kitchen facilities and comfortable beds. Very pleased that there is a pool at this hostel. The Fonda located across the street has a very good dish of the day - Platte del dia/almuerzo. There is a decent seafood restaurant at the end of the street. There is a large supermarket on the main road fairly close to the hostel. There are bus stops leading to the main bus terminal in David near the seafood restaurant at the end of the street and another in in front of the supermarket. The bus stop for buses leading out of the city center is across the street from the supermarket. The hostel supplies you with soap and a towel when you check in. Very friendly and helpful guests and staff.

I reserved my bed using an empty water bottle. The bottle was removed by someone and I almost lost my chosen bed - a bottom bunk. Fortunately, the guest who thought the bed was available, let me reclaim my bed since they were only staying at the hostel 1 night.

I highly recommend staying at Bambu Hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. The common area was a great place to meet other travelers. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again.

All is Good

The room was clean and big. Ok bed to sleep. Toilet and shower as well. It was nice to sleep, cause it was so quiet. The staff was so nice and talked English. Also had tips from them how to catch a bus etc.

AC quite poor. I thought (by pictures) that the place would be much nicer. For example the pool was dirty, so I didn't use it. The kitchen needs more equipments (cutlery, bowls, cuttingboards...) and fridge/freezer some cleaning.

Appreciated being greeted by the owner; he was pleasant and helpful. Kitchen has potable water. Pool area is nice. Appreciated air conditioning in the dorm, and curtains on the bunk beds.

Hostel was two miles from the bus terminal; reasonable walking distance, but further than I would have liked (at least during mid-day sun).
