Unearth Hostel - WAW!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 Sooo, first of all - it is really full of international guests from all over the world who might become your friends. Second, I was totally sharmed with the every evening music which we did with locals and guests. It was super amazing!!!🎼🎹🎧🎤🎸🎺🎷🥁I did change my doormatory room with 6 person to the private room because of different needs of bodies. Black body want cold fan + AC, my white body looking for warm, really warm conditions. That's why if you same as me - try to book a private room immediately. Private room was on the first floor - during the night you can enjoy with singing tropical birds, and real (not AC!) fresh air from windows.🦅🦉🦇🐦 Everywhere a moscito nets on the windows so is good. Although this place not belong to AV, the location is quite good, very close to main points of AV like Solar Kitchen, like Dinesh resto - so you can find it - in the forest in the night (!!!) - quite easily. 👍 Stuff (Babitta Ojas and Parit (this names I can spell not correct) are super helpful and friendly - they will offer to you bikes and other transportation they have, they order a taxi to Chennai for me. Sooo, quite nice guys! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Price for rooms are super reasonable and even this guys gave me 10% discount for private room because I stayed one week there - what make me sooo happy because I was to this moment at the end of my trip - this loyalty was important for me. And a size of hostel and outside kitchen - all is clean and beautiful as in old colonial houses. Everywhere marble and beautiful pictures - sooo also artistic enough as I like. It is create a beautiful atmosphere around you. So, I can recommend this hostel for individuals and couples (because it is private rooms exist). That they are not belong to AV. All the rest was super good.

There was no food providing at the hostel. You need to visit near by restaurants to have breakfast , lunch and dinner. But there is a kitchen available to cook by our own. I like the property location which is inside the Auroville forest.

There were frequent power cuts.

Location wise it was very nice. And the staff were also very cooperative. Amaging place.

There is nothing

The building is really nice, a lot of common spaces and different areas to hang. If you want to have the "hippie" experience and want to tell your friends storys about getting lost at this hostel in auroville while drawing mandalas and listening to goamusic on the rooftop you're right here..

The bathrooms were really dirty.. of course this depends on the other guests your sharing the bathroom with, but it would be nice from the hostelteam to check if everything looks ok. Because it didn't - trash in the sink, on the sink, dirt on the floor mixed with water on the floor and plastic bottle on the floor. Also late at night and in the morning there was a lot of water being poured down super loud from the rooftop to the outside right in front of the dorm window. I did ask what this is and they just said it will stop soon. It did after 20mins and then I woke up in the morning from it again. Also it was to be honest a weird male energy at the hostel. Only male staff, almost only men staying there. As I checked out another girl came with me because she also felt weird energys.. I guess it can be a super nice place if you come with friends but the bathrooms really need to be cleaned or at least checked once per day..

Unearth hostel is just one in his kind. First of all, this hostel is great located! There are nice restaurants around, it has all the benefits of being in Auroville, but the ground isn't part of it. The building is absolutely beautiful and well designed. There are a lot of common spaces with beds to chill on, a huge roof terrace with activities going on like dance classes, yoga and drumcircels and a kitchen to use for cooking. There is drinking water aswell to take for free! I can't say a lot about the private rooms, but the dorm covered all my needs. (International) electricity plugs, night lamps, lockers, ven, optional airco... Everything well thought about! Than the best part: The Vibe! This hostel feels like your home away from home! With a good mixture of nationalities and types of travellers, this place functions as a big family. People take a lot of care of eachother (I can tell, as I broke my foot and ended up staying here for some weeks), and with Prerit as the head of this family, nothing can go wrong. He functions like a father, gives you advise, helps you out, organises things like scooters, and creates an open, friendly vibe everyone fits in. I will never forget the endless conversations at the bonfire, exchanging cultures, music, food and humor. If you search for cozy but spacious HOME, this is your spot. Just be carefull.... You might stay here longer than expected!

Absolutely nothing!!!

Very decent hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The common space was delightful; spacious and well-equipped with beds and cushions to laze on. This is extremely convenient! The terrace is spacious too and commands a beautiful view. The location is good. The main road is a very short commute away. AC works very well in the rooms. There are a couple of nice restaurants next door.

The dorm rooms are small and can be congested when fully occupied. The kitchen could be better equipped with cutlery and crockery. Mosquito repellant was lacking but as long as you keep the dorm room shut, you can sleep peacefully without any trouble.

All perfect! very clean and tidy, with a kitchen and a very nice and tidy rooftop, important for yoga and meditation practitioners! Staff was friendly and helpful, one can hire a bicycle at the hostel itself.

I had the best experience here . The owner of the hostel is so friendly. The environment is so nice and serene.. it never felt like I was away from my home. All the guests were so friendly and felt like we all were like a family there. It was my first ever visit to aurovile and it was the best. I will plan another trip to aurovile and to the same hostel but this time with much longer time .

The people in charge are excellent. They guided us to the location in spite of a very late night check in. They've kept the terrace accessible with mattresses and comforters to use! Absolutely breathtaking.

The location does need a bit of navigating. That might be a problem with google maps more than anything else.
