located near the canal for lovely walks with a great pub on site serving great meals. easy enough to find with satnav. Good free car park, very friendly staff with nothing too much travel. WiFi worked well. generous sized bathrooms with a bath and full shower and even a free bath bomb. spotlessly clean and an excellent full breakfast included - would highly recommend.

very friendly helpful staff. it was ur second stay at this lovely place.I love the fact that the place is I. the country side but a good central point for a base. breakfasts were lovely (thank you Tracey - nothing was too much trouble.

in the draws on the corridor wall chest of draws was sticky so I used a wet cloth and cleaned it and was shocked to find there was blood in and on the draw. we hope no- one had hurt themself badly. we had door hangers that if we didn’t want the room made up we just said do not disturb. we are well travelled and this is the first hotel when the room wasn’t made up. on the first day we used the sign do not disturb but out of the five nights we only got the room made up once. sadly. for £450.00 we did expect at least to have our tea and coffee replenished.

Everything! from the most friendly check-in, through great Staff and excellent food very friendly Locals. I had the pleasure of staying longer albeit not intended due to my vehicle problem. The owner and his wife are delightful people and make one feel at home and welcome.

Nothing I didnt like

Lovely building, service and surroundings. Stunning bar area and well thought out rooms.

The heating wasn't working and we didn't have hot water in the morning. So there was no chance of a shower. A little unfortunate given the cold weather! We didn't get much of an apology or anything.

Absolutely superb place,wonderful staff,food,rooms..the list goes on..thankyou again to Connie(the manager)for sorting out a room so quick for us the next night as we had lost our bank card and travell8ng back 85 miles as someone had handed it in to the staff and we stopped over another night unplanned..thankyou again to you all..Chris and wendy from bolton
