2 night stay to visit Joshua Tree NP. The staff was excellent! The room was large and comfortable. The pool was awesome. Nothing negative.

It pains me to leave this review because I wanted to like this place. The hotel itself is nice, Kendra at the check-in is lovely, rooms are large and clean, the pool and the jacuzzi are great with real spring water, but this review is due to the way the hotel handled my issue. Lack there of, to be exact. I came here for a night to rest and relax but it was impossible. You can hear everything, stomping, talking - everything, the walls are super thin. If you’re a light sleeper like me, that is a huge dealbreaker. I couldn’t sleep because of the loud stomping of the people above me back and forth from 10pm until 2am. Even after I expressed my concern to the overnight hotel staff, they said they couldn’t move me and didn’t offer a solution besides opening the pool (which I’m not sure what I would do there at 1:30am), even though the hotel didn’t seem sold out. I had to endure that loud stomping until 2am and then again at 8am the next day, and wasn’t able to get any rest that I came for. The hotel management didn’t acknowledge my complaint at all and made it seem like it was not a big deal. It’s a big deal for someone who paid $200 to get no rest. An upsetting experience.

It's like you own the place, private spotless clean, limited services (no restaurant, bar or karaoke) but all you need for a nice healthy, relaxing retreat. Nice spring water pool and hot tub area. I enjoyed it with my Beagle Rita who got pool service water bowl and lots of Love from the front desk lady and the Motel Manager.

Quiet, inspires tranquility and relaxation

Room had a nice lay out and tastefully decorated. Staff was exceptionally accommodating. Breakfast was well thought out with a combination of breads, eggs, yogurt and fresh fruits - plus coffee and juice. Mineral spring heated pool and jacuzzi was just what I needed at the end of the day.

We like our stay in Onsen hotel. Very nice and relaxing.

The hotel was immaculate. Rooms large and very nicely decorated. Very good complimentary breakfast. The staff—Kendra, Geneva and Tracy—went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Pool and spa delightful and clean, with special chairs to lower handicapped people into the water and take them out that I’ve never seen in any hotel before. A real plus for disabled me. Wish hotel staff was better prepared for high winds common in area. Pool umbrellas were not properly moored. Desert Hot Springs an ugly city with nothing to do and no good restaurants. But hotel’s mineral pools well worth the stay. I’ll be back.

This place is a diamond in the rough. It is clean, peaceful and Janisa was a superb hostess. I found serenity laying poolside.

Great staff and wonderful natural spring pool.

The property was updated and the staff was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was a plus. The pool and hot tub were impeccably clean and cared for. We loved that they were mineral pools so we didn’t smell of chlorine. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of parking in front of the hotel. We ended up parking in the back and on occasion the security door was locked so we had to walk around the block to get in. It would be helpful if there was keycard access to that door. Since we traveled in a group it was fine but if I were alone I’d feel somewhat unsafe parking in the back lot. It was well lit, however.

Solid place to stay. Room was big and decently nice. Pool area was nice but high winds made it less appealing

The location is a little far from Palm Springs, bu the price is better. Room condition is fine. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room lighting is a little dark. A desk lamp would improve it.

The pool looked great, but we didn't have time to enjoy it. ✔ in was great - Brandon was very helpful. The bed was a little hard, but that's really a preferred so no fault of the hotel :) My only issue is with the breakfast area. Its in the small lobby, and as the wind was blowing fiercely you couldn't eat outside. Normally that would be ok except the receptionist, perhaps the owner?, was annoyingly loud (and shrill which hurt my ears) on the phone,. This drove me to eat in the room where there is no table.

Room was large and comfortable. Employees were all very friendly. Hot tub could have been warmer.

I stayed with my partner at the Onsen over Christmas 2023. This review is a little late but I wanted to ensure that I gave the Onsen an excellent review. We were very happy with everything on the resort. It was quiet and relaxing. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. Our main reason for choosing the Onsen for our vacation was to enjoy the hot springs. The pool and hot tub were fabulous! The Desert Hot Springs area is a little out of the way from Palm Springs so we did quite a bit of driving back and forth for meals, golf, sights, etc. We thought it was still worth it though for the hot springs. I hope we will make it back again in the near future.

Very friendly staff, quiet, clean. Has pool and jacuzzi. I recommend getting a day pass for the hot springs nearby.

Wonderful view, pool, spa, and massage; friendly staff and convenient breakfast. Dining out, however, was not good nearby.

A very pleasant property with kind, personable staff. The hot tub was huge and delightful. The continental breakfast was everything you need and nothing you don’t. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfectly centered between downtown Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Highly recommend.

I stopped by for one night on my drive back home north. This is a wonderful hotel/spa! The room is divine! It's large, modern and the bed is very comfy! The staff is top-notch!

The lift wasn't working but we managed with my walker. They gave us a shower chair and that was great

The stay here was wonderful! All of the employees were super friendly and welcoming! Everything was clean even in a pet friendly room. We brought our dog and they even offered a dog bed for him. Had a facial with Daniel that was amazing! He addressed skin concerns and left my skin looking dewy and refreshed! The spring fed hot tub is huge (16 people) which was nice to have to ourselves one of the nights. The pool was also warm and felt so nice. Great ambiance at night and open until 11 pm so you can see the stars!! Would definitely stay here again!

Lift for disabled was broken. Iwas stuck in.the lift several times. The shower was said to be ADA compliant, but the tile was slippery, the door was not tight and water seeped out to the rest of the bathroom making it extremely slippery. The controls for the shower were on the front wall, nut the hand held shower held was attached to.the back wall of the shower making it.very difficult to.use. The hotel was located in.a bad neighborhood was was not conveniently located to.any restaurants.
