Clean. Good selection of kitchen equipment, crockery cutlery etc. Nice clean fluffy towels. Comfortable beds and bedding. Very good shower in the attic ensuite. Great location for short walks to the Prison and into town.

The lighting in the dining area did not work properly - very dim, possibly intermittent, despite dimmer at max (suggests faulty dimmer or incorrect bulbs for dimming maybe?). Lighting in the kitchen is on two dimmers each controlling about six ceiling lights. One side works as expected, the other side does not dim properly (noticed one lamp on this side is a different type from the others). The place was very cold when we arrived on a rainy late afternoon in December after a long drive. It took a while to figure out the controller, and it was late into the evening before the place was up to a comfortable temperature. Later we learned that the heating is (probably) remotely controlled (as it "automatically" turned down to a minimum on the morning we left), and we felt it would have been nice to have turned the heating on a while before we got there, having previously informed our arrival time.

The house is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great location to walk into the town and very quiet.

Parking outside the property was a challenge (we just pulled up in the street to unpack) but there is a large carpark just around the corner which was very easy to use.

The size of the location was brilliant and it was in a great area with barely a 5 minute walk into town and plenty of things to do. The bedrooms, living room and two bathrooms had a lot of space between each other and were very comfortable to be in. The kitchen had all the needed facilities for us as well.

There were some areas in the downstairs that could have benefited from a deep cleaning. The floor and kitchen counters were rather sticky and the tea towels did not appear to be washed. We ended up having to use our towels from upstairs.

Very clean and tidy, well appointed and comfortable.

No response at all when we contacted owners to request an hour later check out. 10am seems unnecessarily early on a Sunday
