The property is very well maintained and has a clean alpine feel. Location is very close to the train station and several places to get groceries. Common areas are well equipped and spacious. Strict rules and processes for all guests to clean up after themselves is very Japanese "omoiyori".

Shower stall is tight, little to no elbow room. Pilling on fitted sheet feels rough on the skin. Staircase light sensor reacts to movement in the adjacent room even in the corner of the bed nearest to the door/windows of the narrow balcony space with an obstructed view (tall brick chimney?). The common kitchen needs spatulas and freezer space for guests to store ice cream.

One of the best hotels we ever stayed at, super clean modern and just beautiful. Free of the things we don't need like wasteful linen changes, room cleaning for a three night stay and a reception and full of everything we actually needed like the best kitchen we ever enjoyed at a home away from home where we cooked every morning and evening and a super equipped playroom for our son. Overall we loved it!!!

the room was too warm and I couldn’t find how to turn it down. the room was quite small with a title of a deluxe room.

Me and my family felt in love in Spannort and Engelberg. Localisation, inside climate hotel, staff (greetz for Frank) open kitchen, main hall, room for adults - place where you can really rest on comfortable sofa, listen to music from the piano, read a book and drink whatever you want. For Kids - playground room with toys, table football and for older PS4. I recommend it with a clear conscience ❤️

The facilities are really well thought and well taken care of, and the staff very friendly. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, there is a cozy lounge, and a great playroom for the kids.

Everything is just amazing: shared kitchen facilities and cleanliness, kids room toys quality, location, cozy rooms, overall design and details, super accommodating and friendly staff…We will come back for sure!

the personnel is amazingly friendly and helpful, frankly speaking I never met so nice people and I travel a lot :-).hotel has a great room for relax, super nice kitchen where you can prepare you meal and feel like in a great resto. in addition they have super comfy beds :-) location is the best as you are in the center.

loved this place. we only booked because our first 2 choices got booked out. so glad they did as this place made our time in Engleberg special. the owners are so friendly and welcoming but also very professional. they’ve made a fantastic place which I felt undersells but over delivers. very clean. didn’t miss not having daily room cleaning at all. lots of lovely details. for a ski resort I thought it was good value , for Switzerland very good. having a (very clean, well stocked and cosy) kitchen area is such a bonus in terms of saving some money and not having to fit around restaurant hours etc. we didn’t come with kids but the kids game room is brilliant, so well thought out for all ages (even adults). and great to have a lovely stylish adult only space too. the rooms aren’t huge but feel generous as everything is well set out. nice shower/bathroom. the app is easy to use-very convenient to be able to check in before arriving and to self check out on the app. it also has lots of useful info so worth looking at. but most of all it was the warm cosy atmosphere that was great. we felt very welcomed and looked after-thanks so much !

only tiny thing I’d change is to have the pictures behind the bed on the other wall as we kept knocking them when sitting up in bed. but this didn’t affect the enjoyment of the room/hotel.

The place had everything! Beautiful cozy rooms, well equipped clean kitchen cum dining area, tourist info. Few min walk to Mt. Titlis point and Engelberg train station! Very welcoming host and they had sufficient tourist information!!

This place is amazing. I wish every hotel was like this! The playroom is wonderful for kids. Well stocked kitchen where you can cook with a lovely place to hang out. The hotel has been designed and decorated very thoughtfully. perfect location in middle of town.

it was really nice experience with everything Automated that helps to do the check in easily. Also, the facilities were really good with a play Room near the coffee area allowing us to relax while the kids play. Also, I had the pleasure to meet the owner of the hotel and he showed a full hospitality and we had a really nice chat.

Spannort is very well located:Railway station, Coop ,Migros and restaurants are within walking distance. Checkin was easy through the app, and had all the necessary information. Room could be opened with the app so we didn't have to carry the keys around. Despite the information available on the app, Alex welcomed us warmly and took us around the place to explain everything. He was always around for anything,also the lady was very helpful in the morning and happily arranged for English breakfast tea when we asked for some, sorry i forgot to ask her name. the common shared Kitchen was a delight, it was well stocked and arranged and had everything that we needed,from cooking pans to spices,oil, etc, even scissors, that came in so handy! There were other families too using the kitchen but there was plenty of space so we never had to wait our turn to cook or do our dishes ,which by the way were done in 5 minutes in the dishwasher. Also , the kitchen pantry had a huge refrigerator with individual compartments to keep our food, besides the room mini fridge,so we didn't have to bring down our food from the room all the time. Room was a bit small I think and our room had a view of mountain and also the parking lot below. The bathroom was tiny though it had a modern and smart layout. The bidet was a good surprise for us. At checkout, Alex even agreed to extend our checkout time.The guest card he gave us got us some discount at Engelberg cable too. Overall it was a very nice stay!

Everything was fantastic from the beautiful pine room with beds that were so comfortable, the professionally equipped kitchen with everything you need and more, the children's play room with dress up and a great photo booth for fun family photos. The adult room although we didn't get chance to use it was gorgeous. Finally Frank our host was brilliant, friendly and very knowledgeable. We have already booked again for longer this time.. to cap it all it's in one of the most stunning places we have ever been,.fabulous...

We came skeptical of the concept, but it was a great experience - extremely responsive staff despite the idea of a "digital hotel" and particularly convenient for families with kids. This was especially due to access to a very well equipped kitchen so we can make kids-friendly meals, the exceptional kids room (amazing! the costumes and huge mirror were an added bonus) and the ability to cook while still supervising the children were huge plusses. Also a nice way to save some money.

Slightly expensive (for a room without breakfast included and the "normal hotel" cleaning services etc.).
