The property is stunning and the proximity to Lafayette Park was fantastic. WiFi was a bit spotty and the thermostat didn’t allow as much control as we’d have liked, especially overnight. However, the accommodations were comfortable, the location was safe, and parking was so easy.

Five members of my family came to celebrate a milestone birthday and we chose this house because we wanted a taste of opulence - and we got it! When you first step in to the house, you are immediately struck by the exquisite details and the sense of immaculately preserved history of this grand manor. Each bedroom was well appointed and there was plenty of common space to relax and interact with each other. It far exceeded our expectations. The owners were very accommodating in ensuring we could check in early and check out late. Their instructions were very easy to follow and they were immediately responsive to each of our inquiries. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and enjoy the house even more. The highlight was the soaking tub in the primary suite - that was a real treat!

This stay was one of my favorites.
My family traveled to attend a church convention and spend time together. This was the best "home" while away (from home). I would recommend this home anyone in need of a vacation.
The host was both thoughtful and very responsive. The facility is an amazing piece of art in itself. The neighborhood and home are clean and quiet. Located near a well-manicured park made it convenient to exercise and/or play.

Located to various interesting sights, activities, restaurants, and the ambience of the home being an incredible expeerience itself made us want to visit again. We stayed at this beautiful home for several days for our daughter's graduation at SLU. It was a perfect home for our group. A large dining room for a "proper" sit-down meal, and lots of other rooms to gather to play games and watch TV. The bedrooms were quiet and very lovely. The home was immaculately clean. We loved our stay and wished we could just move in!!

The home is spacious and comfortable. The owners have thought of everything you might need. The house has so much character and is in a wonderful neighborhood. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back again!

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! We were so comfortable and felt privileged to be in such a beautiful home in Lafayette Square for our family gathering. The inside had the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern conveniences (and amazingly comfortable beds), and the outside space was lovely! Overall this home exceeded our expectations in so many ways and truly made our time together even more special. Add in the ability to walk to the park and restaurants, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! Additionally, any questions we had were answered quickly and with such kindness. Would book again, in a heartbeat!

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and historic neighborhood. The house was perfect for 7 older women who wanted to be in a central location to attractions such as Busch Stadium, the brewery, the Muny, The Hill, and the Missouri Botanical Garden. The house was clean and as advertised. A small cleaning problem was handled. And we highly recommend this gorgeous historic home. A side note: Lots of steps!!

Lafayette Square was absolutely incredible! This will likely be the most beautiful and historic home you could stay at. They had renovated, yet classic rooms. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for the entire group to stay! The decorations are quite interesting to look at, and you have to check out the scrapbook of every owner of the house (dating back to the 1800's)!
The place was huge, and had almost any amenity you could need. The entire kitchen was stocked with glassware and plasticware. They had plenty of blankets and linens. While we did not have any babies in our group, they supplied a crib and a high chair! Backyard had plenty of seating and a bonfire pit.
Parking is on the street and was mostly empty when we rented.
Location was perfect! There is a grocery store nearby and close to Soulard. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know, and I cannot thank the host enough for letting our group celebrate a birthday there!
