In Living Color was exactly as described and perfect for our family vacation. The location was awesome - close to the strip but far enough away to not feel like you were in town.

The property is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Smoky Mtn. National Park and access to Gatlinburg strip. We enjoyed the mtn views and occasional wildlife visitors. The house was as described, extremely clean and offered everything needed for our family vacation stay. The owner was great to work with and we would look to using the property again in the future.

We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful home on the mountain! This was our very first time in Tennessee and we were made to feel right at home. James and his wife were extremely helpful and made sure we had a great experience. We were thrilled to have a few visits from the local bears and enjoyed playing pool in the billiard room. The house was very comfortable and close to all that Gatlinburg has to offer. We will definitely be back!

We couldn’t have asked for a better host, especially as we’re completely new to vrbo! The house was extremely well stocked, clean, and the location was excellent! James was so nice and incredibly helpful, he made our stay here so much easier. Communication was top-notch (he checked in with us a couple times while we were there and even though we didn’t need anything I feel as though if we had it would have been taken care of immediately) and he answered every question we had before our stay.
We saw MANY bears during our stay, our kids were even greeted by one Tuesday morning on the front porch while my husband and I were driving the motor trail looking for bears. 🙂 Roaring Forks is a short drive away, and we were able to park our car at the bottom of the hill (where we saw a bear a number of times) and walk to Anakeesta (a must do!), the Sky Bridge, and numerous restaurants and shops.
Thank you, James, for opening your home to allow tourists to experience the beauty of GSMNP and for being such a wonderful host! We will definitely recommend this house to family and friends and we will certainly be back! You’ve given our family a vacation to remember, one we will be talking about years to come!

Wow what an amazing view. The cabin was stunning, so very clean. Fully stocked kitchen. We were fortunate enough to see bears every day. Cabin is close enough to walk to town, though I didn’t the hill is steep, the teenagers did every day though. The host told us of a parking spot close to the main strip we used daily. Cabin is located right by the entrance to the national park. Just a perfect location. Loved everything about our stay.

This is a gorgeous, clean cabin-style house in the perfect location. Easily walk into Gatlinburg or drive right into Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Also a quick drive to Dollywood. The beds were super comfortable. Lots of space to hang out — outside deck, game room and great room. Thanks for a great stay!

For us, this was the perfect location from which to base our stay in Gatlinburg. First and foremost, it provided us with easy access to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park for our morning hikes. In addition, it was an invigorating walk to/from the shops and activities of Gatlinburg itself.
The property was fabulous, which made it very easy to relax and unwind after a busy day.
Finally, our host, James, went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and provided us with lots of "tips and tricks" for our stay, which was very much appreciated.

The house was absolutely perfect! Great location within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg but still up in the mountain to feel private. We loved having a bear family to enjoy watching in the evenings also!

We had a great weekend at this cabin. It had everything we needed and then some. It is beautifully decorated and clean. We really enjoyed the pool table and game table to pass time. It had great views of downtown Gatlinburg from the deck and the fire table made it the perfect way to spend the evening. We will definitely be staying again.

No need to look further - the perfect house for a visit to Gatlinburg! My sisters and I came to explore Gatlinburg for the weekend and we are so happy we chose to stay here. James was the most attentive host, going out of his way to offer local food recommendations, parking tips, and texted us to check in during our stay.
The beds were so cozy. Decor was perfectly mountain chic and the view from the house is absolutely stunning. The bonus game room with a pool table was enjoyed and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could need to cook.
This house is perfectly situated right off of the main strip. The roads leading up to the house are steep so if you happen to have a car that handles mountain roads better, do take that one.
The next time we go to Gatlinburg there is absolutely no doubt we will choose to stay here again. Thank you James!

The home was exactly as advertised. James the owner was great, checking in to make sure everything was ok. The house was so well furnished. The only thing we brought with us was food, charcoal and lighter and laundry soap. It was wonderful to come after a long day of hiking cook dinner, light a fire and play many games of pool.

We had a group of 6 adults. The house was as described - clean and beautiful. The owner kept an open line of communication. We had no issues, but I'm sure if we did, he would have been quick to respond. Lots of bear activity which was a huge plus!! I would absolutely stay here again.

This property was more that we expected! The views are phenomenal, we had all the amenities we needed, everything was clean and very tastefully furnished. We especially loved the wood burning fireplace. So close to downtown and the property manager was very helpful. We will definitely book here again!

We take an annual girls family trip with my grandmother, aunts, mother, and best friend! We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin; it was perfect for our trip, we relaxed, and enjoyed watching the bears walk by the house! I cannot say enough about this chalet. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to everything but still is secluded then this is your chalet! While staying, one morning a momma bear and 3 cubs walked by, we were able to view them closely through the giant windows in the living room. The view is amazing with a view to downtown Gatlinburg and the mountains! The chalet is cozy and had everything we needed, it was decorated very nicely with a open floor plan and game room. Downtown Gatlinburg was not even a minute drive from our chalet while also being up in the mountains secluded. James, the host, was amazing and very attentive to make sure we checked in okay and had a good time. One of the best and most caring host we’ve encountered. This will definitely be our go to chalet from now on, if you are thinking about booking , do it!!!

The cabin was as pictured but even better in person. It was comfortable, well layed out, and had amazing views from almost every window. The location was perfect to enjoy the national park as well as main street, making the steep drive up worth it! We were able to experience the true mountain adventure with a sighting of a mama and bear cubs, too.
James, our host, was friendly and helpful during our stay. He made sure we knew how to reach him if we needed anything during our stay and gave us hints of where to easily park at the bottom of his hill.

The property was beautiful. The house was very cozy, comfortable and clean. We felt right at home when we walked in. The only thing was that the main floor did not have a bathroom in the living area, it was in the master suite. Overall I would highly recommend this property and hope to return someday.

Definitely recommend! The host James reached out on a couple occasions, he was very personable, and helpful.
This place is even better in person than the pictures show. Perfect for a group with someone having limited mobility who can’t do more than a couple stairs, only one small step up from the driveway to the entrance. The 1st floor master bed/bath is directly off the end of kitchen towards the back of the cabin. Second large “gaming” room off the other end of kitchen towards the front, closest to the driveway. Two large bedrooms and bath on the 2nd floor. Spacious and comfortable also with a private deck which is the perfect spot for early risers to sit and sip their morning coffee while watching the sun come up or watch the bright summer moon come up over the mountains around 11 at night.

This house was fabulous! It was beautiful and had all the amenities of home. It has a beautiful view and It is nestled at the top of the strip! You can walk to all the shops if you like! James is wonderful to work with and he makes sure all your needs are met! The highlight of my trip was getting to view the mama bear with her 3 cubs several times throughout our stay!
