We were a group of 10 in for the Ithaca football game. House/amenities were on the mark. Highly recommend this rental home.

The pictures of this house looked amazing, but it was even better in person! There were 6 of us - girlfriends for many, many years and it was wonderful for each of us to have our own room. There was plenty of space in the well-stocked kitchen. Loved the huge island! The dining room was comfy and the room off the dining room was a great conversation area. We enjoyed the firepit and the gardens were so pretty! Would definitely recommend this gorgeous home. Also, Mitch showed us the property across the street that he had just finished redoing - SO PRETTY!!!!!!

Our entire immediate family was in town to attend a niece’s wedding. The house was great and fully accommodated all of our children and grandchildren, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The grounds surrounding the property were beautiful. The fire pit was great for a campfire in the evening and the lawn was great for a family kickball game. A very enjoyable place to stay!

Beautiful home outside Ithaca, convenient to lakes and hiking. It was perfect for our extended family vacation. KC and Mitch are terrific hosts who were available to answer questions and assist with anything we needed.

This was the nicest rental I have ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in rentals all over the world. Everything was spotless, well thought out, and of high quality. I felt like I was home. Zero regrets. Would absolutely stay here again

House was a good size for our family- lots of common space. Well equipped kitchen. Great outside fire pit. Only problem was internet was not up to handling anything more than e-mail (do not expect to do any significant online work from the house). Overall it was a very enjoyable rental.

Our family met up in Ithaca to attend a family wedding. This property was amazing! It was clean, spacious and extremely well stocked. The outside property was beautiful with plenty of space for our 2 small grandsons to explore. They especially loved the creek. Mitch met us there and showed us the property, answered all our questions, and was very attentive thru out our stay. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

For over 30 years, five close college friends and I have gathered together, with our spouses, in different locations, for our bi-annual college reunion. This year we found this Shangri-Lodge in Ithaca…and what a find! The place was immaculate and the accommodations were top notch. We were especially impressed with the well-stocked kitchen - almost everything we could have possibly needed was there for us! We received excellent communication from the owners of the home, from the time of booking all the way through the end of our stay. The surrounding grounds, porches, and garden spaces were lovely. We really appreciated the many gathering spaces within the home as well. In fact, we were so impressed and so comfortable that we have decided to return to Ithaca for our next reunion in 2 years. We will be choosing this host again! Don’t hesitate to book here! It was an amazing place.

Overall, the house was perfect for our needs. We had two families staying together over Cornell’s graduation weekend. There was plenty of room for us all. The beds were comfortable, the ability to play pool, sit around the fire pit, or a take a jacuzzi made the stay extra enjoyable. The only small issue was the internet service. But since we weren’t there to work, it wasn’t a major setback. I would highly recommend this house to anyone needing a rental in the area.

There were 12 adults in out party and the property was perfect for that size! Unfortunately it rained all weekend so we could use the outdoor amenities as much as we had hoped but the night we did was beautiful. I admit I was nervous for the check I process because I've never had an owner meet us to let us in but Mitch was great. Would definitely recommend to others.

This home was absolutely stunning. It was well stocked with spices. We loved the swing in the front along with the creek that ran along the side of the home. Everyone had such an amazing time. Would definitely stay again.

My friends and I were so thrilled with our stay at Shangri-Lodge. The place is both stunning and cozy (the kitchen was certainly a highlight for cooking group meals and catching up). KC and Mitch were kind, communicative, and helpful as we prepped for our trip. We're already talking about a reunion back there!

Everything about the property and the stay were outstanding. This was by far the nicest and the cleanest place we have stayed. Everything was exactly as described in the listing, the hosts were communicative and easy to reach from booking through check-out, and the home was very well equipped. We were very comfortable here with a group of 12, the layout of the home was great, and the property and amenities were cozy. We would highly recommend booking here, you won't be disappointed.

The house was very clean, spacious and well appointed. Hosts are very friendly and quick to respond if you have any questions. Lots of space for it adult family of 10. We will absolutely go back again.

Our goal was spending quality family time with our adult children and grandchildren. Mission accomplished! The spaciousness and location of the house allowed us to enjoy games, a big fireplace for toasting Smores, many rousing rounds with the pool table, a perfect temperature with the hot tub, and sufficient slopes for the grandchildren to sled down. All in all, the Family voted to do it again next year! KC and Mitch were easy to connect with for minor adjustments and enabled us to get into the house one day earlier, which allowed our kids to change their flight reservations to avoid the storm. Thank you KC and Mitch!

We came to Shangri Lodge to celebrate my daughter's 40th Birthday, and we were not disappointed. The house was magnificent. Very clean, beautiful décor and well stocked with everything you would possibly need. I would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone.

We came here for my sister’s bachelorette and the property and house were absolutely gorgeous! The property manager was also extremely helpful throughout the stay and answered any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home with plenty of space. We had 9 adults 30+ years old and 5 kids under 10 and never felt crowded. It even rained one day and we still had plenty of space inside. The home is very clean and well equipped plus the owners are nice.

We were looking for a home which could accommodate a larger extended family group and this home provided a wonderful space including multiple bedrooms and bathrooms along with excellent living areas both inside the home and outside on the property. Mitch provided us with a very thorough update on the property upon our arrival and was extremely helpful and rapid with his response when we had a small issue. KC also was very helpful and quick to respond with any of our questions. The location of the home provided us with easy access to many of the areas parks, wineries/breweries, and local activities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-Lodge and would highly recommend the location.

Shangri Lodge was the perfect configuration for our family vacation with our adult children and their children. Four full baths gave each family unit their own to use. Six good sized bedrooms also meant no kids sleeping in their parents rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped - I don't recall looking for any item that we couldn't find there. Having condiments and spices available was wonderful. Refrigerator and freezer are huge. Gardens and property are lovely. We would highly recommend this house.

A lovely property, owners were great to work with!! Central to many waterfalls, parks, wineries and Wegman’s for all your shopping needs!! Fantastic kitchen area for food prep and cooking, all essentials provided!!

This is our second stay at Shangri-Lodge and we continue to love staying here. Huge house, huge outdoor space, owners are great to work with and easy to contact. It absorbs large families seamlessly and is very inviting and comfortable. Lots to do in the region. Our family loves it!

We planned this trip originally to do the Watkins Glen Triathlon with friends and decided to add on a family vacation. :) We had 11 people staying in the house for part of the week, and we had more than enough room. In fact we barely used the downstairs floor (except as a way to get to the hot tub, which was fantastic). The kitchen is extremely well equipped, and the refrigerator was so large we had plenty of room for all the food and beverages. The bedrooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. At the beginning I wished for a TV in the bedroom, but as the week went on I missed it less and less. There are 2 tvs in the house, and we barely turned them on. We made great use of the property outside. My grandson had so much room to play baseball, and ride his little bike and dirt bike all over without us ever worrying about him going in the road. There is plenty of seating for outside meals. A charcoal grill is provided (and charcoal!). We are used to a gas grill so this took some practice. We were at the fire pit EVERY night cooking s'mores, chasing fireflies and making great memories. We made one trip across the street to see the cute pond, but waay to much goose droppings to make it worth another trip! The house is located close to grocery stores, liquor stores, etc. and we visited 2 great wineries that were close to home base. We spent a lot of time at Taughannock Falls which is only a 10 minute drive. Mitch was very helpful and answered any questions right away. Thanks Mitch! Overall we had a great experience and would return again!

This home has more to offer than any other home we have ever stayed. Beautiful property, large rooms, gorgeous kitchen (well stocked), pool table, hot tub, firepit, and wood burning fire place. Our groups of 10 had plenty of space to relax. The weather was rainy, and we still had plenty to do indoors. We would recommend this home to any larger group. We look forward to coming back.

This was such a beautiful and comfortable home. Everything was very easy to use and KC's instructions were very thorough! We didn't need any help while we were there, but felt like the property managers would be available if we needed anything. We would love to stay again!
