We booked this trip for a much needed family vacation and it was a wonderful home, with beautiful views. However, the house was in need of some TLC, as several windows and/or screens and doors were broken. In addition to window shades not working, and the hot tub was pretty dirty when we got there. Lastly the host was not responsive to my questions posted via the VRBO app about a week prior to our check in. Therefore, we had purchased unnecessary items ahead of time to be prepared, and only to find out that they were not needed to begin with, which was unfortunate (i.e. charcoal for grilling when the grill was in fact propane, which was never clarified upon my inquiry, and CO monitors as well which VRBO had suggested bringing separately as it was unclear if the house had them or not and we didn’t want to risk it).
Other than that, it was a beautiful location and wonderful view of the ocean. Overall, I would recommend it.

Our family had a wonderful time at Windswept! The views are amazing! We saw whales, seals, birds soaring right past the windows with fish in their talons. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to gather in the living room area in the evening. Epic vacation!

What a spot. So very comfortable and relaxing. Total of 8 guests. House was situated right on the waterfront, elevated on the cliffs edge with spectacular sun sets. House had everything we wanted and more.
Only suggestions are that the broken blinds get fixed asap and more towels are provided. Thank you for the memories...we'll be back.

We had 10 people in our group, 6 adults, 2 teenagers, a 1 and 3 year old. We ALL had a wonderful time at Windswept! Plenty of space for quiet time and gathering for movies or meals. Views from each room was a treat. Hot tub was a big hit too! Close to our favorite beaches North & South of town. Gualala is a family favorite so we were thrilled to find this retreat. Beats camping! 💓
The only negative was the ants. They had spray for them but those stinkers are resilient! Traps were working great but the Spice cupboard was an issue. Nothing got in our food but we kept everything tidy. The master bathroom was the bigger issue until we found where they were coming from. Not much anyone can do! Still beats camping...😂

Lovely property, beautiful weather. amazing weekend. Property definitely lives up to its name, windswept. We had a very nice time. Plenty of room and has literally everything you could need. My only complaint would be the windows facing the ocean could use a good wash to enhance the already gorgeous view. Quite a bit of bird poop on the outside. But I know it’s the coast and it comes with. But overall 5 stars. Would return and recommend.

Hands down the highlight of this home is the unobstructed ocean views from the living room and bedrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay while in town for a wedding. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and there were many rooms to hang out in. The jacuzzi was relaxing at the end of the day. I would caution folks with sedan cars that the driveway is extremely steep so take it slow to avoid scraping.

I don't think there is a better ocean view anywhere. Views from every room. House could use some upgrades but still very comfortable. Host was great to work with and responded immediately when contacted. Note that ants are a problem but we were aware of that going in. With spray and ant bait we were able to keep them somewhat under control.

We had an amazing week! The view from each room was beautiful. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax by the fireplace and sit on the bench seats in front of the huge living room windows to sit back and watch the ocean waves. Our twin teens loved the fame room too. We will definitely be back again.

The cliff view is breathtaking of the coast line The home is very well appointed.The sheets soft as butter. The home is very cozy. We enjoyed the fireplace on cool nights. We will return.

this is a truly a breathtaking property! It is on the coast, overlooking the shore and the rocks where you can see seals, birds, and whales! We were 6 adults and 1 kid and found it to be a great escape over Thanksgiving. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen which was large and well appointed. The views were the star of this house, though our 8 year old loved playing on the arcade!

This place was awesome. Just outside of Gualala so all the conveniences are nearby. All the bedrooms were great, the views were stunning, the living room was so beautiful and comfortably fit everyone. Highly recommended.

We spent the weekend here and absolutely loved it. The location is incredible and the hot tub features some spectacular views. Check in was simple and communication with the host was great. We will definitely be booking this spot again!

Our family and friends had a great stay here. The views are great and the kitchen is very well-stocked with cooking and serving dishes. Just note that the house is right on the ocean and built on three levels with lots of narrow stairs between so may not be ideal for toddlers and elderly. But we are looking forward to returning!

Just driving up to the house you already know your going to like it. The driveway is steep, so low vehicle use caution. When entering the house, your greeted with a view of a sunken living room and a wall of windows with only the Pacific Ocean as your view! From the living room looking North you can see the coastline and to the South a peninsula with a rock that the ocean don't like. The waves are constantly hitting it and making a big theatrical performance out of it!
In the house, it's large and quite. But on the deck you can, of course, hear the ocean (more at night then the day). Also at night...stars! So many stars. With the right lens, a clear sky and no moon...star photography from the deck.
Owner responded quickly when I had a question. The Surf Market in Gualala has everything you need for the large kitchen if your a cook. Across from the Surf Market is another food store with a nice souvenir store next to it.
This was my 3rd time in Gualala and this time I thoroughly explored the coast between Saltpoint and Manchester.
Amazing house. Amazing location. Amazing coastline. Amazing California.
