We loved our stay at the Love Shack. I love places with character and this cabin did not disappoint! It has the best smells of cedar wood which instantly set the tone when you walk in the door. I was in awe of the cabin finishes and cozy decor. It had everything we needed for a short stay but would definitely come back for a little longer next time! The outdoor area with a fireplace and tv has comfy furniture and a table for eating. We spent our night in the outdoor area playing cards by the fire and watching tv. So relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to the owners for being accommodating and quickly responding to our questions. The location is nice because it’s about 15 minutes to Cookeville which has tons of restaurant options! It was about 25 minutes to Center Lake which wasn’t a bad drive…we came for the lake but honestly I wanted more time at the cabin!

This is a very cool property to relax at up in the trees. Rustic cabin that has been beautifully restored and brought up to date with all areas updated to be enjoyed. We sat outside under the covered entertainment area and relaxed for hours, only a couple of bees flew by to interrupt the silence. I will definitely stay again for a quick getaway with my wife.

Very clean. Well stalked with supplies! We loved the beautiful setting in the woods! Very private. Host brought eggs which we appreaciated! Loved sitting in the outdoor gazebo with a fire and were able to get in to Netflix right there on large screen tv. Listening to nature all around us!

The cabin was exactly as pictured on the app. The hosts were very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks again for the wonderful vacation. We would suggest adding a soap dish to the shower.

Very well maintained and clean. Kitchen is well equiped. We loved the treehouse where the wind blew a cool breeze all day long. We lounged a full day lulled by the laziness that the peacefulness brought. Excellent location to anything you could need or want. Host very responsive. Must be able to take the stairs/steps at this beautiful retreat.

Clean and pictures represented the actual property accurately. We had fresh flowers, eggs and snacks as a very thoughtful surprise! It is very private even with a shared driveway.

Nice cozy cabin nestled in the woods, quiet, peaceful but close to everything. Nicely decorated and stocked with everything you would need. Host even left us some snacks n the cutest carton of farm fresh eggs which we had for breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the peaceful outdoor space and couldn’t get enough of that mountain air! It made us feel like we were a million miles away and yet we were close to everything in town! Definitely a top place that we will be back for in the future.

This is such a serene setting, private, and beautiful. The cabin is well maintained, love the scent of the cedar boards inside. We are very happy we found this property. We enjoyed our (too) short time here, and hope to return. We love that it is pet friendly also.

Beautiful cabin and private. Very clean, furnished with everything to meet your needs. If you love the outdoors this is the place for you. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Owner was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating.

The owners have done a fantastic job taking a part of their family's past and turning it into a beautiful retreat to get away from things and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. Great communication throughout the process and everything was exactly as promised. Our favorite part was the "outdoor room" where could watch TV by the fireplace and feel outdoors. It was a great place to wind down after exploring many of the nearby state parks. Thanks for letting us stay and we hope to return some day.

My husband and I so enjoyed our stay at Nate and Elizabeth's Love Shack. It is so charming with many added touches. We particularly loved making a fire outside in the tree house each night!

This place is amazing! If you are looking for a private getaway to have some down time then you will not be disappointed. The cabin is very clean and very well stocked. The owners make it feel like home and has thought of pretty much everything you could possibly need. Elizabeth left a welcome platter of goodies in the fridge for us which was so nice. We definitely want to make it back to this cabin sometime in the future! I’m so grateful for people who have the means to host others! Thanks for your hospitality. 😊

We enjoyed a much needed get away! Cabin was perfect- from location to decoration. We just wanted to relax and get away for a long weekend. The cabin was exactly what I wanted and more. The outside was so pretty. We loved the poplar siding and the old logs. The inside was so cozy. The kitchen was so so cute! It was well stocked with basics that we needed to cook. Every little detail was thought out perfectly. The outside space with the fireplace was so inviting. We spent most of our time there by the fire. Nate came by and was as nice in person as he and Elizabeth were while we messaged about the stay. They were quick to respond when I had questions. We absolutely loved it and will definitely make plans to go back. If you are looking for a place to get away- this is it! Thank you Elizabeth and Nate for sharing your cabin with us!

Stayed here with the family to visit Tenn Tech for my son. Place was really nice and the outdoor living was perfect to watch football with a little fire. Definitely recommend.

This was a great find for us! This cozy cabin tucked just outside of town in the woods was perfect for a little getaway. We found the cabin clean, stocked with the essentials we needed, and just as described. The "outdoor" living room is the perfect place to spend the morning drinking coffee and the evening enjoying each other's company. When visiting the area we will most definitely be back to The Love Shack.
