Charming, clean, close to town and right off bike trail. The owners Barrett and Andrea are very friendly and accomodating, and provide a fun mid-century modern experience. Highly recommend seeing Traverse city by bike, and you can rent them at the motel!

It’s a motel, and so the rooms are small with basic amenities, and open to the parking lot. That said, it provides everything you need, it is clean and well maintained, and the responsiveness to requests (extra pillows or coffee) was rapid and pleasant. The location is great. The rooms are bright and decorated in a charming aesthetic maintained in every detail throughout the interior and exterior of the units. Many features seemed new (mattresses, bathroom fixtures, light fixtures). Special call out to the full length mirror and waterfall shower head! This was a perfect place for our short stay in Traverse City.

Motel was nice and very clean and comfortable. Road noise was not too bad seeing that it is right the road. Average cost for the area. I would stay there again.

We loved our stay! The owners have taken the great bones of this motel and renovated it into my childhood memories! It is adorable. We loved the retro vibe and how comfortable and cozy it was. We have stayed in amazing resorts, rental properties and hotels. But this sweet motel, we commented several times on how perfect it was. Super clean!!! If you are looking for a place to sleep and mostly out and about during the day in Traverse, check out the Sierra!

The manager welcomed us to the property, provided bottled water and personally inspected our room before we occupied it. The room was small but exceptionally clean. The bathroom had modern fixtures and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for our short visit to Traverse City.

Exactly what we need, not fancy, just perfect.

I liked the modern movement furnishings and music of the era at the front desk. I didn't like the traffic noise and had to keep my windows closed even on the nice nights.

This place was so cool. The recent renovations making the place feel like you're stepping into the 1950s was done perfectly. The staff found out it was our anniversary and there was a bottle of champagne waiting in our room. They went above and beyond for sure!!

Great little motel! The location was perfect, easy to get into & out of without having to go through the heart of TC, walkable to town, food and activities. The owners were always available, friendly & helpful, and the grounds and rooms were not only adorable, but clean and very well kept. Highly recommend!

Beautiful motel! Owner was very nice and made sure everything in the room was perfect before handing over the keys. The motel had a cool retro vibe and was very comfy and spacious. Will 100% choose this place when coming back to Traverse City.

We had a great stay at the Sierra! My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s in a great location, we were able to check in hours early, and everything was so clean. They were also so helpful with recommendations for restaurants. We all couldn’t have been happier with our stay!

Fab Reno’s mid-mod hotel. Family-owned, the owner Barrett met me on check-in. He clearly cares very much for the hotel and guest experience. This will definitely be my landing spot in Traverse City on future trips!

Super cute!! Our room was spacious and clean. I loved all the details of the decor, right down to the pink paint marking the parking spots. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great. Would stay here again!

We loved the care that went into redoing this old style motel. The retro and artisitc touches were great, from the bathroom fixtures to the Bauhaus poster on the wall. The owners could not have been more pleasant, or more helpful. The bath room is mall, but very clean and functional. The beds were great. We cannot give this motel enough superlatives! Definitely will stay there again. Great value for the price.

This motel is located perfectly for convenience to the city, the wineries and the water. The room was spotlessly clean with everything in it all shiny and new. The owners are on site and are very helpful with anything you may need. I stayed with my dog for a small fee and appreciated that they don't discriminate against big dogs as most places do. I would absolutely recommend this motel.

Loved this little motel. It is cute and adorable. I stayed 2 nights in July with my partner and my service dog. We received a warm welcome. I love that the windows opened. Everything was super clean and comfie. Will return for sure.

The room was cute and cozy with excellent renovations to the bathroom, a beautiful wood paneled ceiling and nice furnishings with a retro vibe. And the bed was extremely comfortable. The location close to downtown Traverse City was perfect.
