Location. About 12 minutes from Kahului Airport. About 20 minutes to Wailea. About 30 minutes to Kapalua. About 100 minutes to Haleakala Summit. The view from the balcony is outstanding! The central AC worked well.

Other than the view, the price we paid for 7 nights was not worth it. The inside of the unit was not well maintained. There was a note on the kitchen counter when we checked in that one of the screen doors needed to be repaired and that if we wanted it fixed, we should contact the office to fix it. If it’s broken, why not fix it? Why leave a note? One of the light bulbs in the hall was out. The latch on the bathroom door was loose (I decided to tighten it myself). The coffee maker was not cleaned well. The towels in the kitchen had a musty smell. The place mats for the dining table looked uncleaned (we didn’t use it). You really need to push the front door hard to open it. The TV is tiny. The Spectrum cable unit was very slow to respond when changing channels. The artificial flower on the dining table had duct tape. The stereo looked like it was 30 years old! But it worked! The shower drained very slowly. So expect to be in 2 inches of water if you shower for at least 2 minutes. Be careful walking out of the walk in shower because it is a tight fit in there since it’s next to the toilet. Lastly, for the price we paid, we expected a Welcome Package such as a basket of fruits, nuts & candy. But we got nothing. Only a note that the screen door needed to be fixed. My friends, who stayed in other units on Sugar Beach received a Welcome Package.
