Apt 3, on 3rd floor. The building appeared to be under some construction as materials were laying around on the ramp and deck. Parking is a challenge with larger vehicles. Overall, place was clean and right in village area for biking places. Would stay here again. Never contacted property management for anything so 5 star rating to submit review.

The place was very nice. The only complaints was the access road and parking. But it wasnt that bad for the small island. The AC was nice and cold and the place was very clean.

Ocracoke in the early spring is always a treat and this visit did not disappoint. Red Beard's Retreat is a little gem one block off Hwy 12 across from the village Variety store. Our unit was comfortably furnished and check-in was seamless. We had everything we needed and the housekeeper, Maria, lived upstairs and was always available to answer any questions we had. It was obvious that much time and thought went into the furnishing and design of the unit. We plan to visit again next year and hopefully, we'll be able to book our unit again at Red Beard's Retreat!

The property was nice, very clean and owner was very accommodating. The already nice place had plans for even more improvements. We were there for a wedding and would happily stay there again.

Eric’s condo was great for my husband and I to get away for the weekend. We were able to walk to everything in town (1/2ish mile walk), brewery 1718 and Howard pub are just around the corner and driving to the lifeguarded beach is a quick few minutes away! Mini fridge was all that was needed for us as it was just the weekend and we ate dinner out but enough room for drinks and lunch items. Not much for cooking but didn’t need that. The balcony was great! Eric was easy to communicate with and gave us a full run down upon arrival which was great! He has some beach things and bikes for guests to use. The condos are apart of his home but all have their own entrance, common stairway. Overall a great place for a couple to stay. Thanks Eric!

The house was well maintained, and had every necessity we could need. Eric was such a sweet host. I’d highly recommend staying at the Simmons residence.

Our family of 4 spent a couple of days on the island for Father’s Day. This condo was the perfect size and location! We can’t wait to come back and spend more time.

Eric’s property is perfect for chillin in Ocracoke. Centrally located near everything you want to do. He has all the beach and fishing toys you could imagine. There is a grocery store and tons of restaurants and bars a couple of minutes walk. So when you’re ready to go to the “End of the World”this is the spot. Thanks again Eric, hope to see you soon.

This property is centrally located and Eric has a number of toys for use (bikes, beach blankets, chairs, etc.). The ability to just hop-on a bike is wonderful! Eric is a great communicator and the place is exactly as described. Our 4th year in a row!

The house was very clean and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay and close to everything it was so fun just riding the golf cart around the village to everywhere we needed to go
the beach entrance that we drove onto with our Jeep was just right around the corner we had a lovely time the water was clear and beautiful

We had a great stay at Eric’s property. He gave us a nice tour when we checked in, and pointed out all the extras - such as bikes, beach gear, and the beautiful hand-tiled shower! We actually ended up staying an extra night in the downstairs room because we were having such a great time. The house is a short bike or drive away from restaurants, the lighthouse, and the beach. Eric was so accommodating and kind, and even brought us fresh picked figs to take home! Great place for a getaway to beautiful Ocracoke - we can’t wait to come back!

The owner of the property lives onsite and was extremely friendly and welcoming. He communicated everything we needed to know ahead of time. He was also easy to work with and communicated well on check in day. The location is great and easy to get to everything.

Had an excellent experience. Eric was a wonderful host. He did everything he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He provided the use of fishing equipment and helped my husband cut up his catch. An experience I gladly missed out on. 😀 Would definitely recommend to others.

My two brothers stayed at this property during our visit. Open studio with one queen bed and a pull out sofa. It would be tight with a 3rd person. 2nd floor unit was clean, newly remodeled, very nice full bath and outside balcony with chairs. Kitchen didn’t have a stove, just electric hot plate, so not ideal for preparing meals. Location was close to main street into town and to beaches. Enjoyed our stay.
