The property was beautiful, however there were a few minor issues and one major issue. The day of arrival we got a message that the house might not be ready until an hour after check in time. We had a rehearsal dinner, so we had to find somewhere else to get ready. By the time we got in, it was 8:30pm and the house was 87 degrees. The small window AC unit in the huge upstairs living space was off and we were there during a week long heat wave. The Internet was so slow that it took me 35 minutes log into my VRBO account to view the amenities and I was never able to get enough to load to contact anyone. I reached out to the property managers who said that it was listed with the window unit. They said nothing about the Internet which continued to be an issue for days. The heat made it hard to enjoy our stay (hard to sleep) though we opened up every door and window at night to help it cool off and we stayed off the wooden patios because there were loose boards. The property manager said that they'd send someone out to fix it, which ended up being after we left due to a combination of my phone service and their business hours. We really wanted to like the house and realize that the sustained heatwave contributed to our struggles. Most of the year, I'm sure it's a lovely place to stay

The house is very clean, clean, beautifully laid out. It has everything you need. We cook a couple of fine dinners there andhad lovely hikes right from the front door
