Lovely property. There was a huge storm but the hosts responded quickly and well to the problems that the weather created.

Easy drive in from Skyline Drive. Across the street from the Eastern side of the Blue Ridge Tunnel trail

It was the perfect place to stay for our trip to start the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was very clean.
We would definitely recommend this place and even stay here again.

Rooms are modern and clean. Great showers and the beds are really comfortable. Set back from the road and in the woods a bit. Very nice!

Very clean, very new, and very comfortable! A couple of minor maintenance issues (sticking front door and loose shower handle fixture) but all around it’s a great property and unique experience with contactless check in.

We were traveling through on i81 and glad we found this great little motel!
Laid back setting on the Blue Ridge Parkway. loved the fire pits picnic tables and benches outside. Nice outdoor space and walking trail up the hill behind hotel. Commissary was well stocked with great quality and fun snacks and souvenir items. It's nice to be able to park right by your room for convenient check-in and check out. Room was super clean, appreciated the warm touches like soft-glow light bulbs, pile rug at foot of bed. Bed was clean and comfy and we had a good nights sleep. AC is a bit loud, and we weren't able to fully figure out the settings, but it was hot outside and kept the room cool enough so it worked out OK. Couldn't get the smart TV to cast from our devices, and for some reason the overhead fan/light kept turning on and off without our intervention. But these were just minor glitches and overall, it was a great stay and we'd definitely stay again.

Phenomenal property.........only issue was that the TV casting did not work the evening we arrived. It was fixed by the next morning.

Place was totally redone, very nice, but the room code wouldn’t work except for the room, it expired 1 hour after i got there! But overall was great.

Convenient location for hiking, easy check-in, and clean room which had everything we needed. Also the store was close by and had a good selection of complementary coffee for the morning.

Sink in bath did not drain. Couldnt use it. Toilet rocked side to side. Utube tv never worked. Called for help. Response too slow. Gave up. No tv.

Nice and very clean room. Pretty property. Perfect for our golden retriever. Was in room 116. It had a handicap shower and the water ran all over the floor; floor was freezing as well. Was able to get into our room easily, but it is odd that there is no one on property if an issue arose. Overall we were very happy and would come back if we were in the area again.

Well, I was very surprised that there was absolutely no one around. It was a self check in. If this is what the hospitality industry is becoming that is disappointing. In addition, the cost did not reflect the customer no-service.

The lodge is newly renovated. We came early in season but during april-oct it’s an ideal location to use nature trails and picnic offerings. Great for families and hikers (amenities / location) It’s a staff-less property - no problem. Self check in. New/clean. Recommend rooms upstairs (quieter AC)

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The things that jump to the top of my mind: Check in was simple. I received a quick and helpful response when we requested last minute to switch to a pet-friendly room. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The Pine Brush Trail was an added bonus for our adventuring pup! We are looking forward to making this an annual mother/daughter weekend trip and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Grey Pine Lodge is an amazing place to stay. Felt very safe, the views are stunning, and guests were well taken care of. Can’t wait to stay again!

Very nice room, although I continuously had issues with the lock combination,,,usually would finally open on the 8 - 10th try. The room was clean, and bed comfortable, the shower lovely. The heating system was very loud, came on intermittently very noisily. I wish there was coffee in the room for the morning, rather a selfish wish on my part, not wanting to wonder over the the snack area to obtain my first cup. Wonderful hiking nearby. I would stay here again.
