Excellent location if you're looking for a place that's quiet and surrounded by natural scenery. The villa consists of a few buildings (including a small art museum), each with their own beautiful contemporary design, and the buildings are surrounded by a lot of natural green space and a large garden. The whole place has a very artsy and meditative vibe, with many gorgeous art sculptures scattered throughout the villa grounds. The room we had was very cozy, spacious, and relaxing. Dining options are limited, but in a good way. The restaurant doesn't have a menu and may require a reservation, but the food is very delicious and the course is designed around local ingredients. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay someplace peaceful and surrounded by natural scenery!

I loved everything. Already planning when I can come back. Food, room, staff, THE ART and the dogs!! Excellent.

Didn't like little kids watching their shows on phones and ipads at very loud volume at breakfast. ugh.

The property is visually captivating.

This hotel is far outside the city, so if you want to relax, you can just eat dinner on-site...right? Wrong! If you don't book dinner in advance, the receptionist tells the cook to "take the night off"—his words, not mine. In addition, no one who works here speaks English, and the property is confusingly laid out (which is especially annoying when you arrive back after nightfall, having made the 30-minute round trip to Yilan city to have dinner. Moreover, the water takes forever to heat up, which is unfortunate in winter since the bath tub is located outside.
